Unfortunately, I was lazy, so spaghetti with cheese + arugula and tomato salad was my choice. Actually, it wasn't that bad. smiley

What did you have for dinner?

@Melted~Dreams I swear I am a carnivore. I can go out for a nice steak dinner and won't touch anything till my meat is 2/3 gone. Gotta have room for the beef. Same thing at home.

@Teeny💋 Love banana peppers on pizza. I'm picky about my crust. I love pan and deep dish but hate it when you get this huge bite of nothing but thick bread.love home run inn frozen pizzas. Butter crust oh my! Love everything on it except black olives. They taste rotten.
I prefer steamed vegetables for dinner. smiley It is healthy and tasty meal. In addition, it's a very fast prepared dish and it does not require much effort. I used to cook it with the help of the multicooker that I ordered here multicooker.com/uk/catalog/multi... . It is easy to operate and very practical. It is especially convenient to cook when there is no excess time.

A large, sloppy, greasy, undeniably delicious black olive, tomato, mushroom, and TRIPLE ... oh, yes, TRIPLE ... cheese (wasn't in the mood for meat tonight) pizza. (Looks like it's cold pizza for me tomorrow. Ok, I'll force myself. smiley) And, an icy cold bottle of Corona Light with a lime slice wedged down in the neck. Life is good. smiley

Watching the baseball World Series ... middle of the 4th - Dodgers 1 - Astros 4 ... it's definitely a pizza night!! smiley

Yes these people have been in business in a very long time and anytime I have a friend from out of this city visit, this is where I take them.... A bit of the shop's history..

The interesting history and legend of Len Duckworth’s Fish & Chips is quite compelling and at times humourous. Jack and Edith Duckworth started the fish & chip shop in September 1929, yet the sign that hangs outside of the restaurant declares, established in 1930. Upon retiring in the early 1950’s they passed the torch on to Len Duckworth, who continued the tradition for many decades.

@𝓜𝓸𝓾𝓼𝓮*🐭 Usually when I get outta town company we wind up at one of the local Tex-Mex joints here abouts. There's a few that are really stellar within about 5 miles.

Locally we judge Mescan food joint by 2 main criteria, how good is their hot sauce and my own "must have", do they have fresh jalapenos. If they don't have fresh peppers they don't see the green of my $$ more than once :>P

@mrkim56 Yep I so agree, I refuse to eat stuff from most new establishments until I've reviewed what other's have said about them.

Even if it costs a few more $$$ it's worth it, for the quality alone.

@𝓜𝓸𝓾𝓼𝓮*🐭 I hear ya, but every now and then I get adventurous.

Was livin in a lil burg and a new Italian joint opened up and my Mom suggested we stop by one evenin after work and give a new local business some business.

Not really all that wild about most Italian food but man was I surprised! The food, atmosphere and service were all fantastic!

Wound up bein one of my go-to places till I wound up movin 100 miles away. Their Chicken Picata, fresh baked rolls and garlic and oil dippin sauce was to die for!

@mrkim56 Oh yes for sure, I need to be a little more open minded, I mean after all, isn't life about trying new things? Your absolutely right on that!

@𝓜𝓸𝓾𝓼𝓮*🐭 Hafta admit I've had my share of disappointments at times too when tryin a new place though. If they just opened I'll always give 'em another chance after they've been open a bit longer as I've seen plenty of new businesses still stumblin to get their systems down early on.

@mrkim56 Very true, here in Toronto there are are many very well established restaurants and we are fortunate to have the choice of them

But yes, many things I haven't even ventured to try at this point, and I really do have the time to do that now.

@𝓜𝓸𝓾𝓼𝓮*🐭 Great to have a variety of good places to choose from.

Absolutely, if you have the time and where with all to do so, give something new a try!
