When my very young son could only speak a few words, he was surprisingly good at imitating animal voices. Back then he heard Senza una Donna by Zucchero, which was on the Paul Young CD I had put on.
At the beginning of the song, Zucchero makes a few uhh, uhhs, I don't know why. 
Anyway, my son was thrilled and was fervently uhh-ing along and did so for the whole length of the song. 
Of course I joined in. He couldn't get enough of it in the months that followed. He would point his finger at the loudspeaker and make uhh to express his request.

@Buttless never used a slide ruler,
had a texas instrument calculator,
had reel to reel in family, did actually play one a couple of times,
seen home movies on a projector,
just donated my typewriter,
tho it was an electric canon lol
but where are the useless items?
@❄️Suisen❄️ I think they mean useless now, but in the 1960s they were all essential.
I have a slide rule and my kids think it is something from the stone age!
@Buttless I used to have a Cobra telephone,
one could dile numbers by tapping the button, was really fun
