with the criteria " asylum patients take over the hospital" i can only find Stonehearst asylum , just as micheal59 already said.

@ღEnigmaღ Well poo that wasn't it. I really thought it was. The one I'm looking for the main scene I remember is toward the end and the patient wants to do a scene from Hamlet but needs someone to play Yorick so he kills him and he's holding his bloody skull. I know that's really random but you never know when someone else will know exactly what your looking for.

@JustaGrl OMG that was it! In my mind I thought of it more as a movie and I may have cross contaminated with another movie. It was going to drive me crazy. I watched it this morning first thing. This was probably made early 2000's. A couple or group of people go into a hospital. They don't realize that asylum patients are running the hospital. One patient/doctor kills someone bc he needs the skull so he can play Hamlet.
That is all I remember, there is a movie similar with Robert lasardo called autopsy 2008 but that's not it.
