If the Bible teaches about the Devil like other books do, then why does religion want us to know hatred? <br> <br> Not all of satanism is evil worshiping, there are some that do no harm and do not sacrifice in any way unlike the books say they do, every something seems to create an extra something, like the invention of most religions were all based from Paganism in the first place, and so forth. <br> <br> I don't believe in satan anymore than the god of his opposites, i am god, so i cannot see any devils or demons, except for the devil that is corporation and the demon government, then yes in that context they are very real:)

@bondojoe Satanism is a different religion to Christianity. It has almost entirely different beliefs, difference sources and a different history. Its usage of words is different to that of Christianity. Satanism is not the worship of the Christian Satan, because then Satanism would be part of Christianity

@bondojoe The actual first mention of "Satan" is in the book of Job. Satan is described as a "heavenly being.". However, since Job itself is an allegory, and does not describe an actual person or historical event, it is open to debate just how much we should read into this description of Satan.

@bondojoe I think most people can claim to have seen evil, or experienced something they perceive as evil. For example, a repeat offender paedophile, some would describe him as evil, others would describe him as seriously mentally ill. People think of evil in different ways nowadays and use the word more freely to describe atrocities in this day and age

think ultimately Satanism, like other religions, has such a wide scope of different belief patterns and takes on what it means to be a Satanist. I don't think you can actually generalise the whole religion into whether it is evil or not evil as, like other religions, people take their own views on how to practice it and what they believe makes them a Satanist?
@////////////// As far as I know there is no society in whch Satan is recognized as a GOOD entity. As far as I know, the first place that the word Satan appears is in the Christian, or Jewish bible, which defines him as evil. BEING evil...those that follow that entity would ALSO be evil. I think it HAS been defined. People may seek to CHANGE that definition, but a cigar is still a cigar.

That is your opinion and you are entitled to it :) I personally think that Satanism is what a person makes of it and how they perceive it. There is a wealth of information out there regarding Satanism from over the years some good, some bad, pretty much the same as any other religion. We can find negative points in all religions, hypocrisy and what we see as being wrong but it's up to individuals to research extensively and draw their own conclusions :)

@bondojoe I think people just don't know how to answer, it's kind-of subjective. Each person has their own belief on what evil is. Some think it's evil to kill and eat animals. Is that satanic? NO, but it could be,I think intention is what makes Evil. Is it that deity called Satan that causes people to do bad things. I don't think so. I also believe there is a duality in everyone. Kinda like the "we are all sinners" thing. We all have good and bad within each of us on some level. Or am I just talking out of my ass IDK. In my religion there is no Satan, only God. The more good you do in life the closer to God you become. If you're wicked you move away from God. After death you are both rewarded for your good deeds and punished for your wicked deeds after which you are reincarnated to try again. The cycle will end when you become one with God.

@sunshinedaydreams It Is a movie site. You are mis informed and chose to revel in it. Why else would its primary focus being streaming movies and series? The news (haha) is a completely side issue.

Without reading the stuff above, which I assume is mostly or all crap that is not related to the question, my answer is - I can't believe in Satan because I don't believe in God. There certainly is no proof because the Bible isn't proof.
@schuyl The reality of death is a very scary thing and too much for most people to even contemplate. It's much easier to concoct some form of spiritual fantasy that will put your mind at ease.

@Icemankfc It's sad. I read an article in Yahoo this mornimg about the First Lady taking a trip to Africa. Someone wished her a safe, and happy trip, and got voted down, 2 to 1. We know who , and what these people are. Morals are not available to the left.
@bondojoe If (here's what I tell myself) if the left really knew the truth and/or really understood what the end goal of socialism or socialist changes meant then would they still feel the same way? People still say religion has killed so many people but its as if the same people ignored the numbers of people who died under the rule of communism. Socialism is communism.. try explaining that to the younger 'open minded' generation! It's impossible.

@bondojoe It's not logical to assume that someone you don't know has had no prior experience with religious groups, good or evil. But your definition of group psychosis is correct, ie all believers within each & every religion agree that their Gods or Devils are real & that they themselves are not, in actual fact, indoctrinated, dilutional victims of group psychosis. That said, no one knows for sure so it's entirely possible that, as an atheist, I might be in the group suffering from group psychosis

What difference does it make who worships who? I would rather break bread with a "Satanist" who is kind, loving, friendly to all people then break bread with a "Christian" who is mean, always spewing hate, insulting others, and does not walk in the image of God at all. It's how you treat others at the end of the day and if you treat people poorly, then you are feeding the evil within which we all have. It does not matter which structure we chose to attend to our beliefs or who we pray to when we kneel. Be it Satanism or Christianity (or any other belief) who worships "Satan"? is the person feeding the evil within.

@bondojoe Technically, you COULD be a god, since the idea of gods are a manmade construct. The academic definition for a god is "an entity that directly interacts with mankind." This is referring to figures like I mentioned earlier; Zeus, Odin, etc. According to the myths and legends, they fought alongside man, drank with them, even fornicated with human women.
