@Teeny💋 Gosh, Teeny, I hope not. They are endangered in several parts of Africa and not a "pet" species. Asking for them means taking them from the wild or breeding wild animals for "pets". I know you mean well. Honestly, not a criticism. Good luck!

@ That is why these are pets I would love to have, but don't. I love all animals around the world and would do anything I could to stop the horrors we as a species inflict upon them everyday. I honestly can't understand people who can kill, hurt or torture an animal. Hunting for food is one thing but killing for the sport of it or for a trophy is the most disgusting thing ever. Sorry totally didn't mean to jump on my soapbox....lol
Seriously I think they are beautiful animals and it really would be amazing to see them in their own habitat and not in zoos.

I would like to have another Pitbull but since they are banned here under BSL, we aren't allowed. My husband and I had a female who lived 10 yrs and was our little girl. She passed in 2010 and was the best companion ever. Hopefully one day there's less ignorance and the ban is no longer.

@3UN01A American Staffordshire Terrier? At any rate, aka Pitbulls are LOVELY animals and definitely worthy companions. I am sorry they were banned. More than likely it was "owner" abuse that made them banned. They are so wonderful. I had one that (I kid you not) was 120 lbs. And a completely lovely love.

@3UN01A I hope so to ,I know that Pitbull are loving dogs ,if the owner is loving back to them .I know that they will protect the family. I hope they take the ban off and learn that bad owner are the ones that make their dog mean.

@gregsohappy Most definitely it is bad owners 110% no doubt. They've banned the Rotti, German Shepherd and other breeds in the past that are no longer on the BSL so one can only hope for the Pitbull. I grew up with them as my family were huge dog lovers so yes, I agree they are amazing family dogs and my fave breed. Not everyone should own a dog just like not everyone should have children. Just because one can, doesn't mean you should. Knowledge, education and love is key to both and when that lacks.. you end up with a ban and the rest of us suffer - overall the dog suffers most.

@3UN01A I bet the police are scared of Pitbulls and had them banned .All because they don't understand the breed and the way they look can make someone uneasy .but they are loving dogs .

@3UN01A That is awful you can have one. Once my husband brought his pit into my life, I was hooked on them. We have 2 and they are the most sensitive breed of dog I've ever been around. They get embarrassed and the definitely get their feelings hurt and pout when they don't get their way. They are also so in-tuned with your own emotions. They are amazing dogs.

I adored my Shar-pei Sha-sha. She was the smartest dog I've ever had (rescued). Again, she was the runt and sent for euthanisation. But my gosh, she was amazing. Though I am constantly amazed at "other" animals for the intelligence. I would love a rescued Raven that needed a home in captivity if it couldn't be re-released. Other than that, I will continue to rescue any animal (man included)and help them. They ALL amaze me. They ALL inspire me. Thank you!

My first love/choice would be the all powerful and majestic White Tiger but that is very unlikely since i do not have the space to have one, smiley you need a small farm or something for them to roam about. smiley .. so on a more serious note a Spider Monkey, smiley they are rather large-ish but very mangable i think but i doubt a pet is something they would be allowed to be but what the heck they are so cute! smiley smiley

@❤️cєlєstє🌖mσσn❤️ If you been to the zoo ,Spider Monkeys are so cool how they swing from branch to branch .They do so easily and so fast .I wonder how they do that ?I can't climb at all .CelesteMoon ,I think they would be better pet, because they will not eat you .

+2

@gregsohappy I have been to many Zoo's over the years, i love it there but also i hate it, weird really and the reasons is both the same, i mean they are there to view and somewhat "entertain" us maybe even teach us something but yet they are there against their will mostly which i find sad. but let's not dwell! In fact Spider Monkeys got that name for reason and the reason is well suited as you said how they move among trees is a wonder they don't fall, HA! i wish i could climb like that. Read this, it's perfect if your natural interested in them, a really good read and enlightener: www.softschools.com/facts/animals...

@❤️cєlєstє🌖mσσn❤️ I love to read and watch animals .they help me to keep my mind off my troubles and watching them makes me happy.I never did like that fact ,that wild animals are kept in a prison ,what kind of life do they have (none) .

+3

@gregsohappy Funny you should say that because for example, if you read at the bottom of that post i linked you will see they live a further 10 years then they do in the wild but yes they are in prison of a sort but if you have a good Zoo then they are looked after and can prosper so its a win/lose situation but still it's wrong imo.

@❤️cєlєstє🌖mσσn❤️ I rather have a shorter life and be free ,then live my life in a cage and not know the world around me . I wonder does a tiger knows how to act if it's been caged up for so long ? I just don't like animals in cages ,not even a caged dog that I see 23 miles down the road .

@❤️cєlєstє🌖mσσn❤️ more like a huge reserve really. They roam and need space to be happy. I want a monkey too. They sell them up the road from me. Expensive as hell. Almost ten grand.

@sunshinedaydreams lol yea i bet that's for the capuchin monkey's right? like the one Ross did in friends or the Monkey in the pirates of the caribbean? they seem the favourite kind of Monkey pet people go for as they are only small so you can carry them on your shoulder and go about your day if it's behaved, i believe they have a naughty nature so best teach it manners when it's young. lol i wouldn't mind one of those either there too cute too, but if it was down to a choice then i would go with Spider Monkey but i doubt there even allowed in the UK as a pet.

@❤️cєlєstє🌖mσσn❤️ yea actually he had a chimp and another bigger moneky I can't remember what it was now, but they were a little too big and it was so horrible seeing them in these cages. It's an exotic pet store. As I'm in Florida and we allow exotic pets here. So yea if I could afford it I could easily get one. And take it away from the misery that is a pet store . He also had these crazy looking tiny foxes they never get any bigger than a guinea pig it was so adorable. I would love to have a rescue/working farm. Not slaughter but soaps and feeding my family etc. And only Organic, ok I think I'm getting away from myself LOL but It's my dream.

I want two pygmy goats (because I follow Goats of Anarchy and the woman who runs it says you should never have just one goat).
However as I live in a city and my garden about about 14ft square I need to win the lottery first.
So in the meantime I spend far too much time watching youtube video's of them.
@gregsohappy yea they are powerful especially the males if they are big and have Their full horns. Which my grandmas did. One time she was bending over and zero rammed her and his horns went right between her legs and curved around her thighs and Riiippppp OWWW she was totally ok but hurt obviously. I believe after that she got their horns tipped to avoid getting killed. As she was in her 70's But that was a rare VERY rare thing. They were all loving animals. But they are goats with horns and can butt when irritated.

@sunshinedaydreams I have to cut the horn off of my goats to keep them from hurting each other.I had to learn that the hard way .I had a few goats kill each other by their pointed horns. So I cut the horns off ,that don't hurt the goats at all (it's just like you cut your finger nails ).If you cut them too far down then the horns will bleed and you have to put tar on the horns to keep them from bleeding. I learnt that to.I know now not to cut them that far down .I love my goats and I don't want them hurt,But I do use them as a food source once in awhile .

I want them all. lol

When I go off into a day dream world, It consists of me being able to communicate with animals and that they can tell that I mean them no harm so they are not afraid and do not think of me as food either. *sigh*

I have had animals in my life right up to the point of having to move to the place I live now. No animals allowed here. :( I really miss them.
