Combine the tomatoes with their juice, the butter and the onion halves in a saucepan. <br> <br> 2. Add a pinch or two of salt. <br> <br> 3. Bring to simmer over medium heat and cook uncovered for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. <br> <br> 4. Remove the onion before serving on pasta, etc. <br> <br> Remember ... if there is something about a recipe you don't like, alter it and make it your own! It's what separates a "good cook" from a "wannabe good cook". <br> <br>
