The vidzi links are looking mighty weird today. Any idea what happened? It's looking like you have to upgrade to watch now????? Any clue?

@jamar55 Vidzi does have a pop-up which you should not be clicking buttons on: it's an ad. There should be an "X" in the upper right corner you can use to dismiss the pop-up.

@jamar55 Don't click ok on that popup. <br> Ignore it and hit deny. <br> You'll be alright.

I don't know virus software you're using, or if it has upgraded, or what browser and if that's upgraded, but my virus software and browser upgraded a wee while back and prevents me from streaming any hosts where there is a lot of pop under windows for bitcoin mining. <br> <br> Vidzi is one of them. It allows me to see the links, but gives me an error message. <br> <br> I can disable it, but I don't. <br> <br> I have found, however, that streaming from an embedded window is a completely different story and completely circumvents the pop under windows, so that can be accomplished (on my smart phone anyhow). <br> <br> That may or may not be useful to you. I hope it is. :)

@ yea I got the good stuff, and it's not that ads are popping up, the format is weird I mean real weird and I can't watch a thing. Darn it...I will get a pic of what i'm talking about tomorrow. You will know it if you encounter it because it doesn't look right.

@ No one else would have encountered it, unless they had the same apps I have, with the same settings. My privacy app settings got changed so, it was blocking everything related to vidzi. Once I changed my settings it was normal again.

@michael59 people who mine bitcoins make money by, well mining bitcoins LOL some people who are considered shady, Put miners on their sites to slow your pc down and make money without you knowing about it. Although I don't mind a miner if they tell me, and I'm getting something from it as well. But that is rare.

@sunshinedaydreams What would it do, steal the bitcoins that it mines? <br> <br> I wouldn't know a bitcoin if it jumped out and bit me. lol <br> <br> I don't know where you would get/earn a bitcoin from. <br> <br> Thanks so much for responding, sunshinedaydreams. :)

@michael59 No, mining the bitcoins is legit, but, they are doing it in a shady way, because they are not telling you they are doing it, and they are using your pc (in a way) to do it. You can mine bit coins using your own setup and resources, but the miners we are talking about, they use YOUR resources, without your knowledge. To become aware get good spyware that alerts for miners, some are free :)

@augusts1 Vidzi has been well dodgy in recent times, back when i was using alluc to watch stuff vidzi almost never had any troubles, now sometimes you get re-directed to another site with the same video, at least i had that experience.

@ Thanks dear! I didn't know it was a bad idea. I know websites I visit will have a header saying to support their site by turning off one's adblocker which I've done in the past if it's a site I trust and frequent regularly. I'll take your advice from now on though.

@augusts1 @augusts1 yea there is no need to pause an adblocker if you have the right one. Unfortunately adblock, adblock plus, and ultimate are all the main focus of the ad retaliation code, because those are the most widely used ad blockers, so I think they focus on coding that blocks the blocking of ads. If that makes any sense at all. That is why (and other reasons) I stopped using adblock and I highly recommend everyone does the same!

@augusts1 Not that ad retaliation coding is a thing, it's just my way of saying that they are doing things to stop the blocking of the blocking. LOL

@gregsohappy well not exactly, because I use ublock origin and it's working and blocking ad's but I also have a java blocker and a privacy app, It was the privacy app that was the culprit, so vidzi must be doing all kinds of tracking etc. and my settings got accidentally changed. But I'm glad my comment brought up these issues and hopefully is helping.

@gregsohappy get ublock origin and you can still have an ad blocker that works and watch vidzi and openload. This is what I use, privacy badger, ublock origin, and just block security. I block miners, and ads, and 99.9 % of ALL ads and spyware.

Adblock Plus seems to work good, at least for me it does, it allows you to set up so the windows close down before they load anything, still get a window open up but adblock closes it down before anything on the page loads...perhaps that can be useful to some people. <br> <br> I was having great troubles with my anti-virus program, randomly and suddenly blocking me from any watching of links, even blocked me from two-movies saying "content on this site might be prohibited on your network" i got so annoyed my virus program seemed to be sucking off my internet provider i thought fook it and took off my anti-virus program. <br> <br> I do not promote this one little bit but i've had no trouble since i took the risk, i have good adblockers for this site, just random sites that are not blocked will be a major issue with no anti-virus, as in my experience nowaday's good blockers will stop an attack, virus programs now are just the extra layer of defence...my own opinion really...however if anyone knows a good free anti-virus that does not fall to corporate scum, i'd be happy to be further protected :D

@sunshinedaydreams I shall give them a look thanks. <br> I still use older programs/add-ons as my PC itself is rather old now and some programs or apps now are much more resource heavy, but least ad-blockers don't scream like for example anti-virus programs do when more than one is used at the same time.

ok everyone I figured out what the issue was haha funny. I have privacy badger, and somehow my settings were changed to block vidzi player, and well basically everything vidzi. No clue how my settings changed but it was totally blocking everything. Which is kinda awesome but only when I want it blocked. So ty for all the advice. And I highly recommend privacy badger!

uBlock Origin is the best, no question, it's massively customisable, you can block ads yourself easily, and it uses the lists from AdBlock Plus extension so no need for that one, and also the privacy lists from Disconnect so you don't need that extension either. <br> uBlock Origin has now been ported over to Edge too so you can use it on all major browsers <br> <br> You should not use AdBlock Plus anymore because it was bought some time ago by advertisers, and they feed adverts from Jezebel site, which they whitelist, so you get their ads only. <br> <br> As for vidzi, it has been broken for a while for me with cross-site errors but has started working again in past 2 days since they updated the player. <br> <br> DO NOT turn your adblocking software off, EVER, it is ONLY safe to use video sites with uBlock Origin, anybody that tells you to do this is an advertiser or an idiot <br>

the links of vidzi on the tv show of Hawaii five-o, are showing porno ads . and they run for 6 mins or so. and no way of stopping it. not really good if you have underage children on here wanting to watch shows. just a heads up. maybe some virus could have got in when someone uploaded links.

Well since everyone is putting out there about what they use I guess I'll join the party. I use Chrome browser with Adblock Plus, Ublock Origin, Ghostery, Antiminer and Touch VPN. I NEVER get any ads at all. Hope this may help someone. Hope y'all have a lovely day! smiley

Yah, NEVER click accept in the little bubble that pops up at the address bar asking to allow notifications on any site. It usedd to be a useful feature and was honest, but is now being used by ad companies. What happens now is if you accept you can get ads from that site whenever your browser is open, whatever other site you may be on. A good blocker will hide them, but to remove the notification permission you have to go into browser settings. <br> <br> Oh and also don't use two adblockers - lol. They WILL interfere with each other and actually allow popups that would have been blocked. More is not better. Less is better. Two blockers will really slow your browsing down, also. I have had customers with sooo much security that the issues they had were caused by just that fact...and when they had problems they would just add even more security and wonder why things never improved. If you GOTTA use anything more than Windows security essentials (and 99% of people don't need to), be sparing.

Just sharing my 2 cents worth here ... I never use goo gle anymore. I hate trackers. I use Opera for streaming sites, Comodo Dragon for normal use. Ad blockers are - Ghostery, Disconnect, Adblock (not plus), UBlock, and for miners I have No Coin. I usually never have an issue playing vidzi but prefer vidlox as it's quicker.
