@Mykee83 I agree. It is a wee bit much, but then again, agree with your further explanation + the site cannot be PG13 unless you want absolutely no R rated films. I would also add that getting personal is bang out of order. An exchange of differing opinions, even when strongly opposed, can be done without getting personal. The name calling and finger pointing is wrong, full stop.

@Mykee83 I understand exactly what Mods/Admins have to deal with as I been one myself on several other platforms. However, there is usually a TOS or set of written rules that clarifies such questions. Sometimes even a nice Mod will come along and simply explain in full. Thank you for reading what I typed above in full before responding as most seem to be set on the word RACIST and nothing else. IMHO a simple solution is the 'Block User' function to entirely block annoying or disturbing users and NOT interact or see them anymore... no person = no comments and no fussing. Then we are free to prune ppl that rattle our last good nerve and solve most conflicts entirely with a click. I've already blocked several accts and I don't think I "see" them anymore/anywhere and my comfort level increased considerably. Try being a liberal Blocker - it feels good

Guess I am getting old or something but it seems like every little comment someone doesn't agree with is called racist or hate speech. Since when did everyone get so butthurt from a comment on a webpage? Simply pathetic. <br> If you don't like someones comment block them. If it is so bad you can't sleep at night report them.

@bondojoe But leaving such thoughts/opinions under a movie/tv show is irrelevant and out of place. However, you're free to believe what you want and high five to that. Although our beliefs are obviously much different it does not make a difference to me. My entire point here is just that and not silencing anyone. Just as we are asked to not ask for links in comments under movies and shows, it would be great if members left that section for what it's purpose is and perhaps take the other stuff to the proper Forum or something. ;)

@3UN01A I don't think RACISM belongs anywhere, but the definition of racism has changed to included anything , or anyone that you don't like. I don't like Muslims, due to the way they act, the rapes, and violence, and Sharia Law, and Grooming, and the way they have taken over Europe, but I don't dislike them because of their color. Yet I am called racist.

I've personally never witnessed any "racist" remarks on this site, I'm not saying it hasn't happened as idiots are everywhere. I have however witnessed lots of whining and people calling others racist but in reality the only crime they have committed has been to disagree with the other persons point of view. <br> The race card has been overplayed and lost all meaning, try accusing others of something new if you wish to whip up an sjw libtard frenzy... better still log off and find a safe space so the rest of us can get back to enjoying what the site has to offer.

@3UN01A hey I sympathise with you Eunoia, but this site doesnt seem to have as much policing in the comments sections as some other sites we may be familiar with. With this site being set up and run the way it is, the Terms of Service allowing over 18's only and not catering to a PG13 audience, it seems there is a greater tolerance for freedom of speech and a different standard with regard to what is "politically correct".

@System2 That's absurd. If the site were truly PG13, even the one that you refer to, there would be no R rated films. NONE. I disagree that this site "caters" to what is not "politically correct". It is a site that is allowing freedom of speech. Any site is difficult to run, especially a film site. I would prefer that no one got nasty, but nasty takes MANY forms, not just racist comments, and NONE of them are acceptable interchanges of differing perspectives, in my opinion. However, if a only PG13 site is wanted, then I suggest the Disney channel.

@3UN01A Racist and hateful comments are out of order. However, the notion of a PG13 site where R rated films are being offered is a contradiction (as per another suggestion). I don't care for hate of ANY description. Cursing is different, some people just used expletives to express themselves, so it's a tough call. As other members have stated, running a site is very hard work. The "hate" mongering is wrong full stop and doesn't belong on the film comments. Discussions are entirely possible without digressing to name calling and labeling. Good comment (but not easily solved).

@3UN01A I appreciate the clarification, and I understand (and agree) In regards to feeling that your statement is "lost in translation", my experience is that words without facial expression or vocal tone are often devoid of the context in which they are meant. I find that I go to extremes to clarify my meaning, only to be mis-understood or mis-interpreted, but then try to re-phrase and then (sometimes) am able to communicate effectively. Don't loose heart and don't give up! :)

This is a community where I see people in the comment section talk to one another and share opinions. It's supposed to feel like a safe place to watch movies/shows. But I know that the mods do their best to make this a great site, and I don't think you realize what it takes to run this kind of site. And YAY to freedom of speech.
