Children's TV at the time (mid-60s) was horrible. There were cartoon shows on Saturday mornings only. During the week, after school, there were only Soap Operas, news, and maybe one bad kid's show, with adults dressing up like kids and playing with sock puppets and awful stuff like that. The only other things on at that time were cooking shows like The French Chef and Graham Kerr's The Galloping Gourmet(seriously) so I watched a lot of those.

Anything done by Syd and Marty Krofft, such as Krofft Superstars, Lidsville, HR Pufnstuf, Sigmund And The Sea Monsters, The Bay City Rollers, The Bugaloos, Brady Bunch Hour ... anything by them or like them such as The New Zoo Review, and then also stuff like Far Out Space Nuts, The Magic School Bus, Zoom, The Electric Company (had Morgan Freeman, Rita Moreno and more)...

Most of this stuff can't be found on sites like this and we don't use monetized corporate toob sites, so we dig for stuff like this at Archive.org, 9gag, dtube, LBRY, Peertube, Ted, Crunchyroll, etc... then maybe Vimeo or Dailymotion... as long as it's not owned by goggle of faacbok.

@Ennui-Inferno The Krofft Supershow was good, especially since it had separate mini-shows within it not unlike The Banana Splits which was done by Hanna Barbera with Sid & Marty Krofft.

However, they wanted to make it better, so they replaced Kaptain Kool And The Kongs with The Bay City Rollers. They didn't keep the other stuff like Dr. Shrinker, Magic Mongo (which was also another live version of the Genie cartoon), Wildboy & Bigfoot, Wonderbug (which was really just a live version of the cartoon Speedy Buggy).

Once The Bay City Rollers were there, they added The Lost Island, which had lots of other Krofft characters there, like HR Pufnstuff, Land Of The Lost characters, Weenie The Genie, etc. They also changed the title to The Krofft Superstar Hour.

The Banana Splits Show might have been the 1st thing Sid & Marty Krofft did. It was done for Hanna Barbera & filmed at amusement parks, one of which was a few hours from where we lived (Six Flags).

Kaptain Kool And The Kongs from The Krofft Supershow. They were a fake band that took costume cues from super heroes, a little bit of KISS and other stuff from that era.

A real band, The Bay City Rollers, replaced Kaptain Kool And The Kongs and the show became The Krofft SuperStars Hour. Here they're pictured with other Krofft characters like HR Pufnstuff, Billy Hayes as Witchiepoo, some Land Of The Lost Sleestak monsters and Sigmund The Sea Monster.

Loved Dynamite magazine as a kid, which was found everywhere - schools, doctors & dentist offices, etc. Loved Land Of The Lost - but the Sleestak monsters scared us so bad, that we hid behind the sofa everytime the came on screen. Same thing with those dinosaurs.
