The current method to show updates by 'number of followers' should be revised (1821 views, 28 replies)
Long story short.... agreed. "Popularity metrics" are misleading, annoying and pointless. Listing updated shows via timestamp only makes sense. Maybe Doc will poke it with a stick for us someday? (otherwise Game of Thrones and Dr Phil will top the daggum list here forever.) Good observation and suggestion; imho.
r.column "Popular TV Series updates:" links to = dosmovies.com/browse_tv_shows/all/byView....
-- preferred link: dosmovies.com/browse_tv_shows/all/byUpda....
Also, r.column: "Visitors Watching Now" is a zero-sum list [n.o.b.o.d.y. cares]. As the impassioned pud-pounders anal fav's roll by daily, we're inspired to seek sanitizer 'n tissues... rather than tantalizing new shows. How 'bout replacing VWN with live Commentary Feed that inspires useful non-chat activity and real viewing info?
Maybe, toss in an unhideable profile tab aggregating user 'History' of ALL comments, posts, storylines, etc. offering genuine oversight and character insight. Difficult to sustain troll/bully/a***ole behaviors when there's no place to.
we need this *Doc @ www3.two-movies.name/user/example/profil e/activity/#tab2
This may also generate clickable activity in r.column section -

@(⌐■_■) Suggest an unhideable History Tab, using data @
dosmovies.com/user/tazergrrrl/profil%20e....
r.column: "Most popular TV Shows that have been recently updated: "show more" link goes to a popularity list...
dosmovies.com/browse_tv_shows/all/byView....
Replace with: "Sorted by update date" @
dosmovies.com/browse_tv_shows/all/byUpda....
Yes ppl can click all the dialogue boxes and get to recently updated stuff... eventually. Butjs?
#butwaittheresmore - maybe draggable column modules? Gotta be a github snippet that allows users to arrange column hierarchy on the fly? Admittedly a sexy means of increasing sidebar use and clickrates + adding a comment feed module to motivate interesting reviewers. Ahhh... ROFL mighty easy to dream, thx for listening Doc.
@(⌐■_■) I don't know if you were supporting my suggestion or knocking it...lol
Just sayin'. Oh wait...you were agreeing in tech talk...
The rest of that is soooo Greek to me, but thanks for your input...sounds awesome.. what little I understood
What would I do without an interpreter :) Thanks!
@ThomasinaPaine Totally supported... so I included where, how, and why. Hoping God might understand? xx0x0xx
Clicking on newly updated shows" should not give ppl Game of Thrones in #1 pole position!!! LOL
@(⌐■_■) Absomlutely..lol
Thanks so much for saying it in words I don't know how to but which make sense to Doc..:)
@Dr.Evil While I don't know all the details of the conversation because I am blocked by both members, but, in my opinion, for what it's worth, this site provides more than enough personalized notifications now. We can choose from e.mail, messages and my favourite, subscriptions. 2Movies notifications rates amongst the best and simplest I've come across. -GC
@Dr.Evil EXACTLY what @(⌐■_■) said !
Quickly finding LATEST updates of ALL shows: old and new and lesser known shows
= more shows seen and more clicks, faster.
--'popularity' of show doesn't matter to anyone.
Access to all of the latest updates as soon as they are available is the key to usability for the broadest group of TM users.
THAT layout will generate more clicks because MORE updates are right there in front of ALL users to click on.
"Hey! That's new--looks interesting!" (CLICK!)
"Haven't seen that before!" (CLICK!)
No hunting around for something else that might be interesting.
Present r.column section posts 1-2 day old less-clickable data.
Replace with fresh data from current update page.
Keep an eye out for a real-time feed widget for that r.column update section to boost clickthru and flow like Crazy. Users want new content spoon fed: xtra clicks per hour, xtra clicks per day = addiction to NEW = actionable clicks.
(digging thru belabored search criteria works, but...nah.)
@(⌐■_■) EXACTLY! EASE of finding LATEST updates ---'popularity' of show is irrelevant--- = more clicks faster.
Access to all of the latest updates as soon as they are available is the key to usability for the broadest group of TM users.
@(⌐■_■) Just for clarification and brevity, would "New Links" (that is for any show or film that has new/updated links) suffice?
:)
No. “New TV Series Updates” only .
@ dosmovies.com/browse_tv_shows/all/byUpda....
Thx! RB
@(⌐■_■) I'll see what Doc says when I explain that to him. It may be easier as a drop down, rather than a selection (much like the "Popular Updates" is under "TV Shows" drop down).
Thanks very much.

Listing TV updates in descending order according to the number of followers is neither user friendly to all nor logical. I suggest TM dispense with 'popular' categorization of updates and simply go with ALL "recent updates" in one listing. People are capable of noting how many followers a particular show has, if they care.
A main update listing should logically be displayed in order of the time they are released. latest releases on top.
Listing them by the number of people following the shows is not sensible or user friendly to all, who may have different tastes. It also limits exposure to newer shows of interest, forcing the user to go to yet another drop-down to locate a newer show's update.
If a particular show has 200 followers but was not updated recently, who cares? :)
Why force all users to scroll through such a listing based upon an irrelevant factoid (how many followers) to get to lesser watched show updates that may be of more interest to them?
