The Movie after Movie Game part 2 (3399 views, 606 replies)
@18635fdgd (YO If you can it would be cool if included a DOS linq so we can watch these crazy-arse movies too! )
@DontSpeak I've never seen that, must watch it.
The title is 'Gomorra' here: dosmovies.com/film/Gomorra
@Buttless They are spelled different all the time because the actual word for these obscure mafia's is obscured by the code of silence so even the spelling in movies' , books titles gets changed it is scary af how in the dark a lot of this was and how massively gargantuan these orginizations have grown in said darkness. Tentacles reaching all over the world now...
@DontSpeak So this style of Mafia (not las cosa nostra- i.e. what all America mob is i.e. from Sicily) called Gamorra was becoming so freaking big Robert Saviano wrote and talked about it and to this day until his last, must be under 24hour guard, police protection because they will kill him in an instant anywhere in the world, they made a series and another Netflix(italia) series about this , of the same title, that were excellent!

@DontSpeak Very nice poster, the psychology test poster hints about the movie so ppl proceed at their own risk
@DontSpeak Totally, after watching that movie about how movie posters are just faces and we have lost the art especially creative stuff like this: A painting and very interesting image that leaves an impression..i see it all the time. This is great though!
@Buttless "La blonde aux seins nus"

@torrac "Irish Spring Motha F**ka!" -(idk why but everytime i glanced past i swore he was tking a shower and holding a bar of soap! 😂 )
@DontSpeak Your talking about every (italian) mobster in the 70's Hero! He feels no pain!(and 80's, and 90's well every italian mobster forever probably lol)
@18635fdgd That needs to be a friggin' statue as you get off the plane in rainy ol chicken town!
@////////////// how has this been so underrated that I only remember hearing about it once I didn't even realize it was timburton...??
@Buttless that would be scary in real life but I can't help think I would laugh after the initial shock..
@18635fdgd Benny Hill was very funny, but just did the same show for 30 years and tastes change.
His show was on German TV (in English) while I was working there, and somehow started a 'use of English' class for the local engineers. They watched this and thought it was an example of British culture, so every week I had to watch it so I could explain the jokes to them.
@DontSpeak Love of my Life's Favorite movie of all time....Tough as nails...can't live without laughter though..lol
@DontSpeak I've raced thru this entire thread just to glean a few treasures and forgotten reruns to get me thru the dry holiday.
I'm really appreciating the inspiration. Many Thx!
@18635fdgd It is such British humour, the Americans didn't understand it at all.
I think the second movie (JE Reborn) was the best.
@Buttless ???? really? No way, I am sure all over the World found it funny. I also feel strange that you had to explain Benny Hill's flicks. I watched them with subs. Some parts had typical dialogues from British literacy and was sarcasm for personas and facts from Britain, this understood. But the rest was international. My favorite work from Mr Bean is Maigret detective episodes, not quite comedy.
@Buttless Johnny Winter was actually an amazing person. He couldn't see, as is the case for most people born with his form of Albinism. Everyone thinks that true Albinos have red or pink eyes, but the quality is rare, even in Albinos. What a gifted human. It's a pity we live a world that makes people who are so incredibly beautiful feel anything less than remarkable.
@(⌐■_■) Shirley Eaton is still alive age 85, the BBC did an article about it:
www.bbc.com/culture/article/2018...
@Buttless This Agatha Christie story ("And Then There Were None") was remade many times. An interesting film that takes [almost all the] plot points without complete remake/adaptation is, "Identity" with John Cusack.
This just popped into my head and thought to share it. It's a marvellous film (this one as well as Identity).
Concrete Cowboy (2020)
i wanted to write Cowboys and Aliens but not sure about endings accepted?
The Tattooed Widow
(Den tatuerade änkan) is a Swedish International Emmy Award winning TV movie from 1998,
written and directed by Lars Molin.
@18635fdgd i didnt know
"The Warriors is loosely based on Anabasis, a historic tale of Greek mercenaries isolated behind Persian enemy lines who had to fight their way home"
@☂️Suisen🌂 wow really? hmm that explains the sorrow and disappointments...Thanks for the info. I watched this many years ago. I think it was in VHS tape but I can't tell for sure. Will que it up in my watches to get an overview with the brains I carry now hahahahhahha
Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale II 2011

and I see there are no links or DMCAed off or expired :(
@☂️Suisen🌂 I have it saved with hundreds of movies to watch when I have spare time. But work and family keeps me busy!
@☂️Suisen🌂 In the days of video rentals (wow, remember them>) one store had a $5 special of renting 5 DVDs for 2 days. Only had time to watch 1 or 2 so '1-clicked' them onto blanks. We have boxes of them including a lot of classics, still short of time to watch!
@☂️Suisen🌂 this also a very nice classic! Watched it when I was a kid and was looking back then for a sparrow fallen from the nest or injured around to feed lol
@☂️Suisen🌂 It was actually a fun film. A little dated, but some good actors in it.
Acting styles were so much more over-the-top-sensationalistic then... sometimes movies from then in America are actually almost a comedy no matter what genre they are.
@☂️Suisen🌂 You didn't like it? Michael Caine and Sean Connery were brilliant together.
@☂️Suisen🌂 we are almost of the same age!. I remember the music theme, it was all over in music boxes and old automation toys or souvenirs back then
@18635fdgd Who gave that movie 1/10 ? The phantom down-voter again.
Although this film is not really a classic it does show Marlene Dietrich at her best, and is still worth watching.
@18635fdgd 1/10 is the lowest (a 0/10 would be useful) I have used that a few times for harmful and disinformation movies like Sctlgy and anti-vax propaganda.
Badly-made movies get a 2 or 3, and average ones a 6.
We are saving 10/10 for when the perfect movie comes along!
@18635fdgd I have family there, wonderful friendly people to visitors but there is so much internal hate in the country. What they are fighting about makes no sense to me, it goes back 400 years.
@☂️Suisen🌂 Have you watched The Man Who Knew Infinity 2015? Not similar with mental disorder and other parts but a very nice film
@☂️Suisen🌂 you shouldn't delete. It wasn't something bad what happened. Happens often in the games
Imperiya pod udarom 2000-2001 (empire in war or empire in danger or empire under hits, I can't tell the best translation). Interesting Series I wish they were available here from some linker
www.imdb.com/title/tt0465819/
@☂️Suisen🌂 We were getting the weekly 5-for-$10 special in Video Eazy (remember video stores? All gone now.) and one of the girls picked up that video and loudly asked "what is a whorehouse?"
She actually used the Maori pronunciation of 'wh' which sounds like 'F'.
Oh dear, go ask you mum!
THE GAME GOES TO PART 3. TOO MANY IMAGES TO LOAD FAST. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> PART 3

I figured a game for collecting info and ideas about movies. I will start with a word , for example "Spanish".
One movie with this word is The Spanish Apartment 2002. The next player will have to find a movie that contains "Apartment" in it's title and contains at least 2 words. For example " Our Apartment 2015".
If one wants to participate and he is not able to find a title, he can offer a title from the same year from the title before his play.
Articles / determiners, Numbers, Abbreviations or other words that will not produce a reasonable title are not allowed. For the above example, "Apartment 13" or "the Apartment" or "Apartment C.I.SS " are wrong play.
The year of the title must be added
I hope you'll find it interesting and maybe leave some comment on the title.
I start with some title that contains the word Autumn
