Thor: Love and Thunder - user reviews (39)
OOOOOHHH MARVEL, brother where are thou....
Not 6 weeks ago i wrote that "Morbius" was the first Marvel movie i didn not like because it was too dark to be taken serious and free of Marvel typical humor and DADAAA this clown show pops up.
Crusty the Clown enters Valhalla, Zeus is an elderly beer keg and it is not quite clear why a bunch of annoying children is being told the whole story by a self replicating gladiator stone.
This is actually more for children then the whole Auto-Bot Transformers nonsense.
a colourful CGI supported funeral of everything we love about the avengers.
I loved the screaming goats though.
4/10
Don't waste your time watching, unless you like Slots Light adds
they sure ruin a movie. 14 links all the same bad movie
@MrDeath That bs ruins movie. Someone upload without that dumb sh*t please thank you
@ShaneBigFella the worst thing is 14 people posted the same POS, whats wrong with them ?
@MrDeath True, as much as I hate the ads. It will not stop me from watching Thor. Yet hopefully soon someone uploads better quality and without the ads
Very mediocre film....with dry humor....I remember the cartoon show had Thor with dry humor. More action less bs
Not a review yet, just some Marvel trivia for you. This makes the third "god killer" Marvel keeps creating. The first was way back about 20 years ago when Thor's sales were slumping, so Marvel create some extra-dimensional maniacal gods who went from Pantheon to Pantheon wiping out gods.
Then was Desak whose story pretty much is similar to this story. I believe he was disenchanted by the indifference and brutality of the gods and was granted power to crush all gods. So he also went from Pantheon to Pantheon wiping out gods.
Now we have this looney guy, Gorr, who makes crazy look sane.
I had a bad feeling about this one. I was right. The not so secret agenda is overwhelming the plot. And Hollywood seems to think adding more “KABOOM’s” and “POW’s” will make up for the poor storyline and dialogue. Even the narrator seemed too cheesy to get into this.
I don't know what happened this year but several HUGE movies just failed. The makers have crippled the fantasy of the stories and made it obvious that we're in a movie theater, and not inside the movie. Heartbreaking. I wish we could all go in to the movies the way they were before they became propaganda. This is not what movies should be about. This isn't fun anymore. I'll go back to reading the comics. They haven't let me down. Yet.
Here is a Screen Rant article I found that very well rounds up the reviews for Thor 4. It such as WaPo, Rolling Stone, EW, LA Times, and more. Feel free to add these in the article. From the general gist of things, Bale, Hemsworth, and Portman’s performance are being praised, but the tone imbalance (the serious subject matter vs the humorous nature of the film) seems to be a recurring criticism. Make sure the tonal imbalance is articulated in a WP:NPOV manner, Dcdiehardfan (talk) 13:45, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
@Dcdiehardfan: Thanks! I was already working on the reviews and did Variety yesterday. Was searching for a review roundup yesterday from EW since they did that for Multiverse of Madness but seems SR did that. — SirDot (talk) 15:06, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
@Nataliefox ehm- so that is what exactly? a conversation between two participants that plan to write a review on Thor4?
a name dropping accident in copy and paste?
Why do I come to watch Marvel movies again? I wonder. Always promise I quit watching them but after some time I keep rolling a few scenes in my desktop. I become really not to be trusted this way... Anyway from the 20 mins I watched again from the last Marvel movies I notice a continuous change and cross franchising over series and scripting methods / emotions which makes me think (for the volume of capital and personnel this industry owns) that this is a process of testing/rearranging and continuous adaptation to the circumstances. This thing of course is not bad for me. Something we should all do in many cases. I wish them all success and may the product touch strings in anyone promoting the Light and the Good. I hate cross franchising in series and many Hollywood series- products. I think it will leave small imprint in the long run and enhances negatively the suspicious feelings of any that dislikes their work. I think it started proving itself to be wrong for the older generations. Would the target be mostly preteens and young ppl? I wonder for the financial output in the long run and the setup of this work! For the specific movie, the 20 mins I watched - 4/10
Very disturbing stuff. I felt as though I was being spoon fed something. It was like my mind was being manipulated. All sorts of the things I don't like were being normalised and glamorised. This ruined the film for me. I like such films, but not when they are used as a vehicle for something else. Who is sending these messages and why?
Well, this movie was made for the big screen. I was thrown off watching this based on the reviews I read here, I'm glad I took the chance. This story line was great and very well put together. Yea, there were some silly scenes with children, but take the movie for the entertainment value it's intended for. It is a great worthy popcorn movie to escape into. I can't wait to see it on the big D when released for it.

Okay it wasn't bad. Kind made more for kids with a lot of the silly stuff. Zeus's lightning bolt looks like a toy and some girl shooting energy bolts from her stuffed animal. And of course the wise cracks.
But like many of these movies, they had to throw in LGBTQ stuff where it wasn't needed. The rock guy apparently has two dads and in their biology they can actually make kids. Wow. Thanks Disney. Of course they had to show him meeting his new rock man boyfriend. ugh.
Why does Disney feel the need to bring this stuff up in nearly everything they produce?
@MPA2000 It's called an agenda of subversion and perversion; they support drag story hour and teachers inflicting their deviant sexualities on 5-8 year olds. They want this legislated, mandated and unbeknownst to parents (ideally).

They also doubled down to whit--THIS is to be their driving force from now on. No--no grooming going on there. They want to normalize paedophilia ultimately. It's the hole sordid culture and zeitgeist at this point.
Hate Speech
"agenda of subversion and perversion", "deviant sexualities", "sordid culture"

@꧁tAMPERER71꧂ Heij
I think the guy has a point but used quite drastic words to make that clear.
At least his comment is still on so we can come to our own terms with this.
@꧁tAMPERER71꧂ Baby back is hate speech stating the fact8 fish stating the facts is a speech1984 you are a fan you are banned
@꧁tAMPERER71꧂ Going past the slotlights feces smeared across the screen, the actual flick itself is awful, unrelatable, unwatchable.
It just doesn't deliver entertaining or relevant content. Think we'll stick with our Carol Burnett, Looney Tunes & Marx Brothers movies.
R.I.P. Marvel. Buh-bye.
@MPA2000 Have you seriously not heard of the number of underage sex-trafficking-rings exposed and busted at Disneyland over the years?
.
. Until Desantis took away
their privileged, tax-free--no govt. oversight parks municipality. With the underground tunnels and God knows what else has been going on there for many decades. Disney is not what it appears. Probably never was.
Absolutely disgusting criminals. And that's JUST the ones who were caught
There's definitely an agenda here and it's not Kosher for Passover

@꧁tAMPERER71꧂ The medium is the message ,Moderator . If the content of the movie provides a message, regardless of what that message is about, happy or bad,it's part of the plots subtext and therefore not conspiracy or other gobbledygook.
Thank you for the info on the contextual message the movie provides
@rtaylor78 Are you really saying that Thor: Love and Thunder is about underage sex-trafficking-rings in Disneyland? Is this the subtext of the plot?
@JudgeDredd Whatever you believe the message could be,it could be.
Personally I think its about pandering to the Leftist idealists for the cold hard cash from grandma's purse, bedamned if they ruin the whole industry.
@rtaylor78 Sorry but no. The movie review section is aimed to discuss the movie itself. Not loose and irrelevant personal beliefs, with the only connection to the movie being your decision to discuss them in the movie review thread.
And if you wish to discuss political beliefs, this is not the place for it, considering there is a ban on politics applicable to the entire site. You may use Anysubj for that.
@JudgeDredd I was writing about plot and subtext.
You have me confused with the other comments from others.
If you wish to believe something else, read what I wrote compared to the rest who you didn't say anything to.
As for ban on politics, than what is the Ukraine political support banners everywhere for?
You can't say one thing and order others to do the opposite
@rtaylor78 "I was writing about plot and subtext."
So was I.
"You have me confused with the other comments from others."
No confusion.
