@Rescue Dog Mama Really????You didn't know it looked like corn? Although the photo of the corn REALLY is looking almost too much like the candy corn. Never saw one quite so similar. I used to love candy corn, it is like pure sugar though

@BeachBum Never gave it a thought lol, the photo is candy corn lol, stacked up. I just never gave it a thought to stacking it up. I outgrew candy corn when I was about 10 lol :)

@Rescue Dog Mama Add a small rolled up piece of rice crispies treat with plain vanilla frosting n add candy corn n it really looks like corn on the cob.

Yes, I knew that pretty much just instinctively. I've not had Cady Corn for years, though.

@Rescue Dog Mama I don't eat refined sugar, and these are particularly sweet, if I remember correctly. I just knew they resembled whole corn kernals from feeding them to various farm animals. %)

Never seen it though have heard of it. A bit like 'rock'. That was from the days when most city livers went to the seaside for a holiday. Before cheap air travel. The rock was a solid tube of sugar with the name of the seaside town running all the way through it. How they got the name in there was always a huge mystery. Even seen a documentary showing how they done it. But alas it still escaped me how the letters formed perfect.

@Egor17 You forgot to mention the picture of whichever town it was from - that would always stick to the bloody thing so you either ate paper or threw that bit away. And why were they always mint flavoured.

@⭐️janerosity⭐️ Oh I didn't forget. Paper didn't worry me. And ye. They were always mint? Just didn't detract from the sugar.

@Egor17 Once in a while there would be a kinda fruity flavour - but mostly mint. I don't like mint. Still ate them though, musta been the sugar rush.

@⭐️janerosity⭐️ Funny stuff in what you taste. As a child you have very limited tastes. Why sugar tastes good and greens taste bad. Most greens taste bad because a lot of them are poison. It's a built in self defense. No excuse for overly sweet fruit. Even elephants will travel for the over ripe fermenting fruit. And get drunk!

@Egor17 I did not know that (about the greens) - you learn something knew every day. But I've seen a TV show about the drunk elephants, I might have to find that and watch it again. Once had a cat that loved to get stoned - would get on your lap if you lit up.

@⭐️janerosity⭐️ HAHHAHA All my cats loved to get stoned. One loved vodka with her milk.
I think the show you seen was the same one. A National Geographic doco. the elephants were funny but the giraffes were hysterical.
Still not sure it wasn't a joke doco like the spaghetti trees in Italy.
Had to watch out for they cats though. Would eat it right out the wrappers.

My grand daughter loves this stuff. Not a big candy corn fan either. Didn't know it would look like corn on the cob stacked. Learn something new everyday. I will have to stack some for her.
