It probably means that you are friends with some people that the blocker does not like OR you may have said something to offend his/her sensibilities while you were commenting/chatting/engaging with normal thinking, ordinary people with opinions that differ to the blocker's. These are two of the many thousand reasons for him/her to block you. Join the club that has a growing membership on a daily basis. At the moment that is the way things stand. A sad state of affairs.

@Rescue Dog Mama You don't have to bother anyone and stick to making comments about movies. Once you say something that a certain person disagrees with then at best you'll just be blocked. at worst (like many of us have experienced) you'll be blocked and unblocked repeatedly and often get attacked whether directly or indirectly, and will have other members jumping to attack you too. I'll tell you a secret though. 99%of those other members are usually fake accounts belonging to that one person who uses all of them. It's like I do feel sorry for them because I'm positive that they don't have any real friends aside from those who just get what they can get and run, but acting the way they do is never going to pull real friends in and to me that's really sad.

@Rescue Dog Mama It's a perfectly legitimate thing to do (to block someone if you don't want to interact with them at all), the truly baffling thing is when someone who blocks you, unblocks to read whatever the blocked person is writing, and then reacts by writing something to the blocked person, but in the "third person"...

Yes, you are blocked all the way! Unfortunately, some people enjoy doing this to people for no reason whatsoever. Isn't it annoying when you're trying to comment or play a game and somewhere in the middle it's there "hidden comment", just block them back and then they can't read your comments either? 
@Teeny💋 Not even that, I went to look at a game, and I couldn't even see what it was lol..obviously it was that Euonia that started the game, and I couldnt see it, I don't get her at all, but that's okay....if she keeps blocking more people she will be playing games alone :)

@Teeny💋 That is an interesting thought as the Forum is a place for communal expression and this blocking not only makes it impossible, it also implies censorism and restriction of access to part of the site that is open to everyone. It means that one person can claim dominance over an area and dictate what happens without having any transparency. In this case we have a subforum that has been locked and the keyholder decided who can/can't use the facility.

You join a FB page, someone takes a dislike to you and blocks you. You aren't notified they have blocked you and all their posts are invisible to you, as yours are to them.
No one is shouting about censorship or human right violations there. You just suck it up and start your own thread. A thread that they can't see or be involved with.
Only real difference is that here you can see there is a post you can't access. That's the part that really gets peoples goats.

Actually, it's not, for me.
I don't care about that, in fact in my case, I welcome it.
What we are chatting about is a person who blocks and then unblocks to see what their blocked people are doing or saying all the time.
I am also chatting about things that I have expressed to Admin that were documented.
They aren't just name calling. They were full on trolling, which is unacceptable to me.
It's insane to make such a big deal out of blocking sooooo many people to just unblock when you "feel" like it.
There should be a restriction on it.
Then again, it may be done by not logging in.
Personally, I don't have time for either.

I completely agree that the ease of blocking and unblocking is an issue for some. I know other sites have a cooling off period between un/blocking. I think FB is 24 hours, I'm not 100% sure because I never use block. That still won't stop people signing out to read blocked posts here, though.
Maybe blocking comm's for all unregistered users is the way to go, and staying on top of muting duplicate accounts. It would certainly increase registered user numbers, plenty of newbies have admitted to lurking for months before registering.
Everybody has their own way of navigating through their net-life. I choose to just accept people for what they are (for the most part) warts 'n all, I ignore what I don't want to be involved in, and respond when I feel like it. The self-control of a few can really change these things around, without the need for outright bans and mass-blocking.

As far as duplicate accounts, yes, but it's extremely difficult with VPN's. It takes a slip up and someone watching the accounts and the IP's to see it. It's a lot of work, these days.
I don't send admin pm's about it since the first incident, which was a long time back for me.
I did stop participating, to be honest, it grew worse again (IE attacks by multis).
Honestly, enough is enough, for me. I've been one to be very reasonable and want to hear other perspectives, even if I disagree, but constant outright attacks call for another line of response.
I have always felt that if one way consistently does not work, then another must be employed.

@ I mean to block unregistered users from seeing comments, forum and chat box.
So instead of showing comments it would say something like,

Even with the use of VPNs there are still ways of spotting multi-accounts.
Again, my previous post wasn't directed at anybody in particular. I really have no idea why any of you are blocked. Even when we've disagreed on something we remain civil and continue to strike up conversation elsewhere. The same for the others on this thread, who all seem like lovely folk.
I will say that I haven't been blocked up to this point, and I've had nothing but pleasant dealings with [SPOILER].. Which is a huge surprise, because I'm apparently a big meanie bully who picks on everyone lol.

@swans2525 The majority of the members who are whining about being blocked by someone they don't even know, have also blocked the member they are bashing. I don't care if someone has me blocked or if their block prevents me from seeing their forum threads, movie/tv comments and such. There are currently 932 Users Online right now and probably 700+ on average. Why care if 1 out of 900 members has you blocked? Why dedicate 3 forum threads to 1 member that does nothing but insult, defame, bully and spew hate?
Anyone who reads these threads can clearly see the kind of minds we have here and why someone would block them. In the midst of trying so hard and dedicating so much time into trying to make someone else look bad... quite the opposite effect.
Many members are clearly not as nice as they pretend to be as these threads clearly show.

@3UN01A yeah i must say thats what i read too alot of people make to much problems of being blocked and keep talking about it.like that it really becomes a problem that they themselfs make worse.thats why i,m always think if it happens ok not nice but i have no time to let it get to me and move on.
@swans2525 Exactly. Not everyone is going to get along or like each other either so it's best to just move on. In my case the blocks were not just necessary but recommended by the Admins/Mods as well to just ignore and report. I have chosen to block the mob mentality but on the bright side at least now they can bond over something... while I chill and enjoy things on the more positive + productive side. I would rather interact with people who are sincere and genuinely friendly not this and I have that right to make the choice. The problem that users block and then unblock then again block. We will make a 48 hours "wait" time before blocking again.
@Dr.Evil I really think this is a good step forward even longer would be great but this will do. I am honestly just still content with the updated block feature that you worked on. So the innocent question was "Comment is hidden. Why? Can someone explain please" by Rescue Dog Mama and through many comments and countercomments we came up with some possible reasons based on personal experiences with our "pan blocking person" However I suppose I was waiting for the straight answer, the one that gets the million dollar prize, the one that only one person can answer to Rescue Dog Mama.
I suppose another way to ask this question in more specific terms would be

Well she responded in a roundabout way as perhaps she had to log on/off a few times to get the full story as she has blocked many in this thread.
And her response wasn't how Rescue Mama Dog insulted her and her family, it wasn't how RMD posted intimate details for her collections of illegally downloaded movies nor did she tip off the cops about her using her Netflix/Hulu accounts to provide series and documentaries to third parties. There wasn't even a mention of trolling, abuse or harrassment. No, it wasn't any of these vile actions ...

This entire post is off topic. It's not about being blocked, it's about defaming other members that she's has claimed have "addiction issues" and "mental health issues" when talking to NEW members about "trolls on the site". I believe that's a TOS violation that she so clearly calls on constantly. Then to top it off, starting threads where the blocked members are told to leave...this has confused new members who think that the comments to leave were directed at them. @ Thanks RB, its not so much hurt by someone I dont know, its her telling newbies and nice people like swans that I am one of the many nasty trolls she talks about, I kept out of the previous discussions as I was not involved and now she has dragged me in, I havent spoken to her in mths so it was more of a shock. I love this site but would rather be talking about movies, i dont get her, I find it very childish and resentful and im annoyed to be writing this rubbish, and like you have said, im done talking about her, ive said my piece and will move on.

Can someone explain what "Comment is hidden. Why?", I am seeing this and cannot figure out what it is, other than I am "blocked" from whom?? I only talk to certain people on here, and none of them has done this......Just curious.... as to why someone would do this???
