The Democrats KNOW that they can't beat Trump in 2020. Mueller failed them. They will now have to try something INCREDIBLY outrageous. But what will it be? Every news day will be a new collection of attacks...they will throw everything against him, and see if anything sticks. They are already banning all conservatives on social media. It's going to be a monotone discusion...Trump will be BAD!! LOL! Let's WATCH!!! Let the games begin!! And remember...just because you see it on the telly, it doesn't make it true!

@manditoe ...and at that point, there is no more collegiality and decorum which is the basis of the free exchange of ideas in the dialectic search for Truth.

Thus when you eliminate those who have opposite yet valid ideas, you have an echo chamber, stagnation, and falsehood.

That is as basic in philosophy as anything else.

These are the rumblings of civil unrest leading to civil war. That is what happens when you eliminate your opponent's ideas, political or otherwise.

That is why democracy equates to tyranny.

@NinjaBoyOne In American history, one was not mature ie considered an adult by virtue of age. One was an adult by virtue of knowing sufficient ancestral skills and demonstrating an ability to perform them. Then one attracted a candidate for marriage.

Sadly that concept disappated in the 1940s as the idea of "teenagers" began.

Today, I see immaturity as being ubiquitous. Your own posts are horrendously immature.

Pence is a great Christian and I hope he is able to put more conservative justices on the court and annihilate abortion.

Roe v. Wade is unconstitutional. Thus it can only be a state decision or a personal decision under the Tenth Amendment.

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

What will most likely happen is some states will write in natural rights into their constitution.

That means a state could claim that healthcare is a natural right and since abortion is a form of healthcare (certainly not for babies as it is infanticide) then in say California, anyone can get an abortion.

Then people would relocate to these states if they wanted abortions as part of healthcare.

That was the vision of the federalists and the antifederalists. States would make these decisions NOT the federal government.

For example, marriage is a natural right in some conservative state, thus no government may restrict "marriages or civil unions by imposing marriage licensure. Frankly marriage laws were largely created by Democrats to prevent interracial marriages! Such laws were unconstitutional. What would be next? Friendship licenses? Baptism licenses?

@clarachan1355 Baloney.

I'm talking about in the United States.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-mis...

In American history, one did not have to have a marriage license to get married.

Instead, one went to a member of the clergy most of the time, and then notified far later town officials.

Marriage was considered a sacrament and just like baptism. Imagine the foolishness of the state creating baptism laws and licensure.

Busybodies were concerned with early settlers (mostly men) marrying Native Americans.

That came to fever pitch under Andrew Jackson, a Democrat.

Then due to the Civil War, the Democrats feared intermarriage. That led to numerous anti-miscegenation laws.

Marriage licenses are illegal as they are unconstitutional. The federal and state and local government cannot tell us who we may marry.

They could tell us who may have a civil union though.

The leftists as well as many RINOs are quivering in their boots at the concept of another 4 yrs of a political outsider like President Trump continuing to shake up the status quo in DC.

Secondarily If AG Barr does the job he's sworn to there's likely to be a lot of sad faces from the leftists staring back through their cell doors as the intended coup they attempted to stage is brought to light and charges of treason are litigated.

Those in the know on the left are well aware of the above and they're not standing still waiting for the shelacking at the polls in 2020.

There are at least 12 states who have already made moves to deprive any presidential candidate from receiving their states electoral college votes if the candidate fails to win the popular vote, essentially invalidating the electoral college process by these actions.

There are states now claiming to refuse to allow President Trump to even be allowed to be placed on a presidential primary ballot unless he agrees to release at a minimum, 5yrs of his tax returns.

@bondojoe Thanks man!

The left are trying every means possible to change the rules to suit their agenda driven narrative with total disregard for the rule of law. Circumventing the current process is their only means for securing victory and they're hell bent on doing just that.

A recent development that seems very telling is Pelosis recent claim that President Trump would fail to accept an election outcome in 2020, a claim Hilary asserted in the 2016 election as well. Amazing that 3 yrs later she's still carping on that she had the election stolen from her when it's all too obvious that under election law, she did not.

My thoughts are that Pelosi is setting this narrative forth because of the ways I outlined that the left would attempt to invalidate legal voting procedures and then in the future claim President Trump would refuse to accept the election results due to these machinations and manipulations of electoral law and process.

@bondojoe Sadly when their draw is for a change to socialism, continued calls for further taxation of the wealthy (yakno, those nasty people who actually create jobs) and leading us towards a more totalitarian state the uninformed are exactly their target market to sell these dreams to.

I'd be all for returning the electorial process to its original limits whereby only property owners held the right to vote.

Only those with actual skin in the game are best suited to elect the best president.

Or, my current favorite position would be to implement a simple 3 question survey before anyone could cast a vote.

If someone can't name the basic line of succession, the sitting president, vice president and speaker of the house they obviously don't care enough about politics to enable them to cast an informed vote in a presidential or state election.

Learn ancestral skills, arm yourselves, and have two years of supplies.

The least expensive way is to have vegetarian proteins, unmilled wheat, sugar, yeast, powdered milk, vitamins, etc. Then rotate this.

That is very frugal in a time of high grocery prices. It also is nutritious.

Learn to dryyour harvest, can, pickle, freeze, etc.

The biggest issue in the executive branch are the extremely well paid upper management types that are the "swamp". Those people got jobs as a result of nepotism. They cannot be fired regardless of performance...UNLESS there is a "reduction in force" to balance the budget.

A serious amount of money could be saved and not hurt anything as they do nothing useful.

These folks are mostly Democrats and RINOs. These folks are the source of the media leaks. These folks create major diplomatic issues due to the Foreign Service as many are ambassadors. That is a standard nepotism job in payment for fundraising prior to election.

Trump has tried to trim them down.

Merriam-Webster defines nepotism as follows:favoritism (as in appointment to a job) based on kinship.

A similar phrase is familial piety.

It would seem more correct for the above discussion to use the word: cronyism.

If that were the norm, things might be different, though the typical 16 yr old is hardly endowed w/that kind of intellectual capacity, which then invalidates such an argument for allowing them to vote.

@NinjaBoyOne I have a great respect for the north american native indian cultures. They had a genuine reverence for the members of their tribe, cared deeply for all creatures, tried to never be wasteful and to never take more from the world than they needed.

They also warred brutally and endlessly with other tribes, enslaved members of tribes they conquered and prior to the Europeans arriving here had never even seen a wheel, much less invented one.

Though their cultures were highly evolved in some ways, in many other ways, they were not.

It's often claimed that native indian cultures are deemed the rightful owners of this continent when in truth they themselves were simply immigrants here too, having immigrated through the Bering Strait land bridge.

All people, races and cultures the world over share similar histories of war, slavery and similar misdeeds against one another so romanticizing any one of them over the others is fallacious at best.

The theory for the eastern tribes is that they were likely decendants of northeastern induits - Canada, Greenland and inclusive of even some european indigenous groups... that were largely outbred as to why very few these amerindians test positive for native american ancestry.

things also become a bit more complicated for some of the natives from the south as they can be divided between bering theory, the northeastern inuit theory and then caribbean indigenous people.

personally, tho, I'm lacking respect for native americans and really, the majority of indigenous sovereign nations worldwide.

Even less for those that romanticize them... even the modern native is more akin to an earthen fairy or elf than a human being in eyes of the greater public.
