I think it's because embedding keeps you on this site, whereas not embedding is actually leaving the site and not knowing what to expect... pop ups and so forth...& third party sites.
I could be wrong but I feel safer embedding flicks here. :)

@๐๐ธ๐พ๐ผ๐ฎ*๐ญ That one game that some sites advertise with the panting Asian woman on her knees really irritates me. I know there are folks that are n2 that, but seriously, I don't need to see it. Adblock cuts down on a lot of that crap as well...
@purpleplum Agreed, but I find UBlock Origin even better, kills them all dead! Also Ghostery is fantastic.

@purpleplum i wouldn't worry about it very much. most of those ads say you won't last five minutes playing anyway, whatever that means...

yes, and huge pop up ads i still can't stop--so if you embed the video into two-movies,you stay on the site--ok thanks.--and its safer for we movie-watchers--ok!

And some of these ads take 4 ever! Hey, if I need a psychic (have you seen those?) I'll find one other than that creepy dude that advertises. Ugh!

Embed just 'cause I'm lazy and don't like jumping through hoops if a link doesn't pan out. BTW, AdBlock is hot garbage anymore. nanoblock is where it's at. Haven't seen a pop-up in years here..
@PsychoDeeDee Not seen nanoblock in the extensions I shall try that once my ones stop working poper blocker seems to work best with openload and streammango for me anyway

@purpleplum They are the ones that open behind the main page. They actually are known to run more hidden scripts then the pop ups. I had one a couple years ago that stuck a bitcoin miner on my PC.

I use u origin, adblock plus and adblock original. I have no pops of any kind i also only use Firefox for twomovies.

I've watched videos as embedded and not embedded but have noticed no difference, so is there any advantage of one over the other? Thanks.
