None will ever compare to the originals it the original Freddy, but I still love em anyway.

This was from a series of 3 fan-made concept trailers released a couple of years ago. It caused a lot of buzz about the horror groups at the time.

I don't think they ever got the budget or the backing to make a feature-length film. They just keep re-releasing the old trailers and clips to keep up interest.

There are several fan-made Freddy shorts that are fan-tastic. If anyone is interested I can track them down.

Thanks, Momma. I'm going to put the original on right now!

@DemandingFemale Oh, my bad. I wondered about that, but I had looked it up before posting it and it has an imdb page and said not yet released, so I figured it was legit.

This is why I thought it was a feature movie. Plus I don't remember seeing any of this clip, but then again it's been so long since since I've watched one and I've slept since then.😂

@ I'm just disappointed because I thought there was another coming out. I'm glad for the info telling me otherwise instead of letting me go on for months waiting for something non-existent. 🤭🤭

@◦•●◉✿♡Momof3αηgєℓѕ♡✿◉●•◦ I'm completely appreciative of both as well.

DF is kind of an expert on these fan-generated things.

Don't feel duped - that was the whole point of the trailer releases!

They wanted people to get psyched for a new film so they could generate interest and get the backing and budget to make a feature-length.

They made the trailers for next-to-nothing, using volunteers and loaned equipment. Just imagine what they could do with the $35 million budget the 2010 abomination got. lol

@DemandingFemale You have a great point!! And I was a bit disappointed by the 2010 movie as well, but I figured for me maybe subconciously it had more to do with the different actor and appearance of Freddy rather than the actual movie itself.

@◦•●◉✿♡Momof3αηgєℓѕ♡✿◉●•◦ I think more people would have been willing to accept Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy if everything else was better.
I hated that they elaborated on Freddy's backstory and made the whole plot about paedophillia instead of a good old-fashion body-count film. New Line toyed with that idea during the original '84 concept but decided to just stick with him being a killer - if he was interested in the torture of minors, why wait until they're all in high school to revisit them?
