Bit of a history rant.
Steam engines had governors to stop to much steam going to a piston. Without such, the engine would just explode.
Jet engines in the early days would just blow up. They would suck fuel and go faster, then suck more, faster. Until.. KABOOM!
Until the introduction of the fuel moderator.
In a car it was called the carburetor.
In a rocket? Well you can bet your toes it has something doing that job. Or it's just a big firework.
The words Governor and Moderator does not just apply to people. Think about that the next time you use any sort of powered transport.
