I like this place. I admit I am curious -- in a good way--about its creation, the creator, and want to say congrats and thanks. smiley

If I had to wade through endless commercials to see these shows, I'd have to send them a bill for my time. After all,
tv viewers are already paying for a service, for news and shows, and movies and such, already. Why in the world should we pay to watch commercials? We should be receiving a check at the end of the month...exactly opposite of the way it is now. smiley

TwoMovies does an end run around TWC and gives us what we want. Good show.

I actually remember when cable vision was first trotted out and they swore it would always be commercial free and it cost $6.00/month.
People laughed. "Who in the world would pay to watch tv ?"
Seriously. That was the pitch---no commercials...that was what you were buying.
"It'll never catch on" people chuckled wisely as they watched "Father Knows Best" and commented on which brand of soaps, dishwashing liquid, or which cigarettes seemed superior to the rest according to TV.

@ThomasinaPaine Palazzo pants ? Not sure as I guess person you are talking about is US and I'm in the UK. Your post made me think about those meme's you see from time to time taken from old magazines about how women were supposed to behave. Glad we got past that.

@⭐️janerosity⭐️ Palazzo's are still on the market featuring wide legs from crotch to floor. Didn't Laura Petree wear snug calf length pedal pusher pants offering audiences a shocking view of lady butt? But whoa waitaminute, I think we leapt past felt poodle skirts on yards of netting, w patent leather shoes and fuzzzzzy cashmere sweaters? And that's sheer sacrilege... 'cuz you can jump a shark, but not a poodle.

@(⌐■_■) lol so true. all sorts of fashion all over the place, with the 'shift' coming in with Twiggy...lol.yikes! Poodle skirts, pecking order high school social clubs and nylon jackets, Mayberry. saddleshoes and sock hops ... all in the days of Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis and the beginning of Dick Clark's American Bandstand, Elvis Presley, Tom Jones, and the Beatles a murmur on the horizon.... And saddleshoes. OMG Black and white TV!!! I couldn't WAIT to grow up..lol

@(⌐■_■) I still keep thinking ..oh wait...toreador pants! That's what they were called. And yes they did come almost to the ankle but not quite and she wore FLATS! That was just amazing. And my poodle skirt was green, I remember it well.
I am memorialized in a family snapshot wearing a full skirt with half of my crinolines hanging down past the hem on the right side. I remember those prickly things too.

@⭐️janerosity⭐️ "Glad we got past that."

If you believe that, buy this watch....

By 2020 women will possess two-thirds of the private wealth in the U.S.

$22 trillion.

And they are still dancing to the tune Madison Ave. plays for them.
you MUST have gorgeous hair, flawless skin, all the current fashions, spend thousands on 'sexy shoes' that will eventually destroy your feet ( echoes of Chinese royal women and foot wrapping~
Damage the feet, control the power?)
and let sexuality = 'are you attractive...enough?'' be used as a weapon against all women to try and strip them of self-esteem and keep the $2.4 trillion fashion industry designed to perpetuate that illusion puttering along.

and only 107 === TWENTY percent == of Congressional seats filled by women now in the US.

And a freakin' man in the White House who laughs about grabbing women's crotches.
And other world leaders pretending he is a big deal and listening to the cretin.

How about the UK?

Oh, girl, we have not got 'past that'.

@ThomasinaPaine I was being ironic/sarcastic.

Whilst forgetting that irony and sarcasm get lost in translation in print. Showing my age as it were.

I get you though. I just need a sarcasm font for my British humour.

@ThomasinaPaine It's not sad necessarily, it's just the microcosm of life that that girl lives in broadcasting whatever for money... I reckon if you want to know more about the site, you should ask Dr Evil directly. Then again, the Devs may not want that out there. The internet is not a friendly place! It's naive to post everything. That's just the way I see it anyhow. But the picture of "Mini Me" is what I was commenting on...I would have less interest in seeing that video than I would stuffing a pickle up my nose. lol

If you want to know, it would probably be helpful to just ask the question... the other bits are easy to get sidetracked in and digress from your main point of asking how the site came about (for me).

Again, when I read your initial question, I got lost in the substructure and length of the other bits. ...

@ My logic was, if the mods wanted to step on in and share history, fine, but either way, I was just expressing my thoughts on the odd name.
The rest I wrote because I was practicing my James Joyce and going with streamofthought writing. heh.
In other words, I wrote exactly what I felt like writing. Shame on you for getting lost, you Irish lass!..lol :)
Luv ya back..xxx

I liked the first movie with the 60's sex-maniac super-spy comedy, that movie was so funny,we all laughed our heads off in the theater. The first movie was the best one.I too had a poodle skirt, really loved it.

Those pants of Laura Petree were called "Capri pants",I remember, long and snug to the ankle.Nowadays they changed the name; but "pedal-pushers" just came right below the knee-so you could ride bikes in them.(and not catch yer pants).Modern fashion screwed with the names.(Also the same as "toreador pants" were Capri pants.)"Palazzo pants" are very wide leg,and long.full, the term was Italian.(I love those.)Good sub for a long full skirt.--often in light-weight black fabric. You can still buy those. The ones I really disagree with, are "leggings" worn out in public. When I started yoga class,in my early 40's,"leggings"were stretchy, exercise pants.--they were meant just for exercise.--If you were wearing those, you were on your way to yoga class. The reboot of "leggings" for street wear, was really bad--not many women have perfect figures;I lost mine.I have seen women wearing tight leggings in public,I would be ashamed of.

The "trend" is an example of fashion corporations trying to foist cheaply-made pants for women,to wear in public, cause they are cheap to manufacture, than other type pants, and telling us"all the women wear these crappy pants, you should too."I refuse.I like wide-leg denim jeans,or pants. ...

@clarachan1355 Hi - your question about minors accessing the site is one that comes up every once in awhile. The answer to that is found in the terms of use for the TwoMovies site.(look on the bottom of the page to click on the link to terms of use)

From the terms of use:

Basic Terms

#1 You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

I hope that answers your question. smiley
