@gregsohappy Hell with what others think Greg. Do what you want to do. I'm glad you are well again and hope you keep hanging in there for a long time to come. Sending good thoughts your way
Didn't know about these forums till you shouted on chat room lol. But just read your initial post.. you've been through a lot there Greg. All I can say is you're one strong individual bud. Just judging by how you stay composed on the chat room and you're always finding something interesting and good to talk about instead of complaining about how all the cards you've been dealt has been a bad hand. But you seem to always focus on the brighter side.
Don't know whether you are or not? But either eyether.. your in my prayers Greg. Hoping for the the best yo.
Greg, don't let some downvotes stop you from doing a forum. If you want to say something then do it! That's your right and one of the cool things about this site is you can do a forum on any subject. Anyone who has been on here for any length of time and seen all the crap you have endured knows you more than have the right to do so. There's always going to be some who don't like what you say and give you a thumbs down. Big deal, it's their problem! You've always kept a great attitude despite what has been thrown at you. Don't let this downvote thing bother you. You've got friends on here and we got your back! Say what you want man, you earned it! Hope you have a speedy recovery so you can get back to fishing...
In the morning I'll write part 2 .I also has thinking about a wild animal picture with a little story to go with that picture.
That's it mate. Free you're mind and your body will follow. Well.. fingers crossed.
Do it Greg, definitely put up part two. Don't let negative people get to you, there's one in every crowd, just ignore em. The positive will wipe out the negative and you're way to positive of a person to let a thumbs down stop you, so don't. Look forward to part two and your forum with wild animal pictures and story.
(PART 2)The doctor told me that the nurse will be at my house to give me my IV meds and My IV machine and saline.About 8 pm the nurse came to my house with all the stuff to get started. She told me that she will have to draw blood every time she comes, also she will change my bandage dressing .After she draw my blood from my picc line .she went out to the car to get my IV machine and stuff. She told me I had to clean my picc line caps with alcohol wipe before I use my syringe of saline. She said,You flush your picc line out with the saline and after you have your IV meds and make sure you clean your picc line caps .She told me ,that I have to take Vancomycin twice a day ,morning and night .She showed me how to use the IV machine and to keep My IV meds in the frig .She gave me a box of saline for flushing out my picc line .She also told me don't pull or let anyone pull on your picc line or you will have to get it put back in.She also told me that my clothes needed to be washed with hot water and my bed sheets needed to be washed with bleach and hot water to keep down the spread of the infection that I have . ...

@gregsohappy Oh my goodness Greg! I am SOOOO sorry to hear about this. This is incredible! What you have gone through is just insane! I cannot believe how crazy it must have been and I am so sorry that this happened to you!

I actually did have a staph infection when I was young and dumb. I let a bunch of random tree sitters stay in my house when I was doing my undergrad work because I became good friends with one of their main leaders. She was so rad and I rented a house with a few empty rooms so I just let a bunch of random tree sitters stay there. It was crazy and fun, but I also think I got my staph infection from them. I was stupid and didn't realize what it was and traveled down to my home town of San Diego and gave it to two of my friends. They were soooo pissed at me. At least they are still my friends, but man they were so pissed when it happened over ten years ago! I didn't even realize what it was until they called me on my way home from visiting SD and then I went to the doctor. ...

@nonamemanon some strange parts of the south, people have mrsa,my friend said, girl from primitive backward Appalachia OR something.a girl gave it to her brother got really sick.
@clarachan1355 Hi clarachan14355,
My goodness, I had no idea about the south and MRSA. Thanks for the information! I will have to read up on it.
@gregsohappy I feel for you with the pic line. I have had 4 of them in my lifetime. I get this sickness where I start throwing up and I can't stop. The only thing that helps is IV narcotics and IV solution along with nausea meds. Last time I was in the hospital for 7 days with. It is always hard when I get it bc the doctors don't know what it is or why I get it. They also will give me meds in the ER and I will start to feel better so they will send me home and then when the meds wear off I'm right back in the ER again. It is usually 3rd or 4th trip before they hospitalize me. I already have very tiny veins and you add dehydration to the mix that always equals pic lines for me. I have had a baby IV on the first joint of my middle finger before. They always try everywhere before the pic line as well. I've been stuck in the foot and in my neck and still they never get a line. ...

@gregsohappy (part 3)
Not only does MRSA make you sick , it can make you act like a different person . I got angry very easy and yelled and was mean to my family . That MRSA might have played a role in my lost of my marriage .because I could not work and support my family like a man should .I also snapped at my wife for everything she did wrong . Even my friend said, you don't act like yourself . So mentally I was sick from that MRSA .Since then I've never been the same .
Ok. Working in emergency medicine, the way this was written was in a drama+++++++ way.

You don't incur MRSA, sepsis, suddenly have the clouds open and you're healed in a day. And seriously, maybe wash your hands...

Sure, glad you're not dead, but if you could be just straightforward and not milk it for the drama factor, that'd be great.
@Etheria Did he ever say it happened in a day?? No it happened over a matter of weeks. He is just now talking about it since he is healed.

If you knew anything about him you would know that he has joint replacements and that is why he had an infection in his shoulder not bc he doesn't wash his hands.

Lastly, you didn't have to read his forum nor did you have to comment with your judgmental nasty ass comment.

Seems this isn't the first time you've been nasty to someone for no reason. Maybe take a look at your own life and figure out what is making you so miserable instead of taking it out on others. Have a lovely day.
@rickgrimesrocks you are 100 % right ,it took week for me to get over it and still weak from it .I do wash my hands after bathroom time and before cooking and during cooking .I think this person needs to read what MRSA is and how it can mess up someones life .
@Etheria It's a lot of weeks to recover from this MRSA .The way you talked ,you don't even know what MRSA is and how it could kill someone in 24 hours if it wanted to ,it's a super bug and not to many meds out there to fight it.I had a shoulder replaced and got it from surgery
@Etheria If you work in medicine then you should know that not everyone on pain medication is a drug seeker. Sure some of them are but there are ppl who actually need them. You shouldn't lump everyone into the same group and judge before you know the circumstances.

You should also know that not all MRSA cases are bc ppl don't wash their hands. You can get it during surgery bc of tools not being cleaned properly or maybe the doctor or nurses did not wash their hands properly.

It's funny you tell Dr. Evil not to judge you but you are, in fact, doing exactly that with Greg. Ironic.

Maybe you should just take a second and think about how you've acted and simply apologize for being too harsh. I would have way more respect for you if you did and I'm sure others would also.
@rickgrimesrocks I have to agree on the drug seeker issure bc I am in recovery and when I get sickness that i wrote about above, the first things doctors say are you are in detox. Even before drug testing me and getting negative results. Too many people lay their own judgements down on people who don't deserve it.
@Etheria ive been in nursing for 17 years, I am familiar MRSA, c-diff and plenty of others. This man did not contract this from failure to wash his hands. It is painful experience and you should show more compassion. I dont what your like at work, but if its anything like your comment, Im glad ur not caring for me. You better hope you never get it
My husband had it once and he was also in hospital with severe fever. He freaks out anytime he starts feeling like it may come back bc I think it is actually easier to get once you've had it. I hope your doing better. Sending you health and happiness
@Teeny💋 not a lot of people know this ,the first time I got MRSA was in my elbow and this time was from a shoulder replacement
@gregsohappy I really hate it for you, my husband uses and antibiotic ointment as well called: Mupirocin. Look into it.
@Teeny💋 I got that at home .it's only good if it's a boil .Once MRSA gets down deep Mupirocin can not get to it
The only drama queen I see on here is the one who keeps spewing her hate on three different forums! Get over yourself and go find somewhere else to spread your manure , preferably a different site!
Haters Gonna Hate
Enjoy stewing in your venom
Know what I hate ? People that hate, that"s what I hate 11111111111 LOL ROF HA,HA,HA !!!!

I had a shoulder replacement and it got infected .I started to feel sick like I had a fever and cold chills .I went to my doctor and he checked me over and he looked at my shoulder .He said yep you have an infection in your shoulder and it's a very bad one ,He told me that he needed to get a simple of the infection and send it to the lab, plus he needs blood work from me.After a few days the doctor called me and told me to come in .When I got to my doctor's office they took me back there to see my doctor .in about 10 to 15 mins he came in .He said ,yep you got MRSA in your shoulder and you going to have to take meds for it.I took the meds for a few days and it seem to not to work.About a 4 night I was chatting with someone on this site and blood and stuff went dripping down on my clothes .I told that person in who I was chatting with and told them I needed to go ,so I went to the ER . They drain my shoulder with a needle and told me to go see my doctor .Then a few days later I got to see my doctor and he put me in the hospital.I don't know how long I was in the hospital because the MRSA was messing with my brain.I know I had a fever of 102 and sweating bullets .I could not remember and was confused .My doctor said, he went in my shoulder to clean it out but that still didn't kill the infection and it came back, more so.They told me they might have to take my arm if it don't get better . ...

@gregsohappy I've never had it but I know its bad and OH MY GOD WHAT THE H*LL GREG! You lived through a freaking hurricane recently and now you have to deal with this?!? I had Bronchitis once for over a month. I kept thinking that I can tough this out until I realized I couldn't. I went to the ER. The oxygen level in my blood was down to 89. I've never smoked so that's really low. They admitted me to the hospital and started pumping me full of antibiotics. While i was there I remember having this overwhelming feeling of serenity and peace. Like nothing mattered because no matter what happened it would be ok. If you start feeling this way you need to know that you are f***ed. At the time the feeling of peace was so overwhelming that it didn't bother me at all. Looking back it's sort of comforting, but I'm also glad I eventually started to get better. Don't go into the light Greg. ...

@PaddyWhack I had my lung to collapse and It about killed me .when I got someone to take me to the ER the Doctor there said,I had no oxygen in my blood what so ever .The bad thing was it kept on collapsing and finally after the 6 time they had to do surgery to fixed it . A year later my other lung collapse .I thought I'll never get better. my other lung never collapse again. now I have a lung that is sewed up on my rib cage
@PaddyWhack I was amazed my sister almost lost her right thumb of it;a little dog bit her thumb;docs analyzed it,call back,"YOU ARE SICK,COME TO ER NOW!"the poor woman had surgery, they said,"lose the thumb or you die"she replied,"I keep my thumb!"--she almost died, but her right thumb makes jewelry and teaches beading.i don't blame her!after she was well, she said,'it was mrsa'later.the dog died.--she was living in nice Berekely CA.(???)who figures,a little dog has it?
@gregsohappy So let me get this straight, the answer to an infection which is pretty benign on the outside of your body is to cut you open and give the bacteria somewhere else to thrive? Yeah, f**k that.
@Mykee83 I could not get rid of it ,my by mouth meds just did not work
@Mykee83 Mykee, MRSA is not a wee issue. If you have it, you can easily pass it on to the elderly, premature babies' immunology compromised...

Sores need to be covered, lots of medication that may or may not work...

Stay out of hospitals, WASH YOUR HANDS!!!!!!! And don't touch your eyes, nose or mouth because you are likely dirty and carrying it
@Etheria Go back and read my message again.

I said it's benign on the outside of your body -which it is, it's when it gets deeper into you through wounds etc. that it becomes a problem- and they had cut him open, giving somewhere for the bacteria to go and thrive.

What part of that says it's a small issue? Are you an idiot or just reading things that aren't there?
@Mykee83 M'kay sweetie, you are simply trying to fight.

I'm not interested.

If you are MHSA positive cover your wounds.

Please wash your hands.

If you are such a c**t that you need drama beyond that simple PSA, m'kay, bye Felicia
@Etheria now i'm glad i was no where near my sister, but the BITE DID IT.
@gregsohappy Well i got a staph infection once. I am a popaholic so i enjoyed the deep oozing abcesses. The fever sucked .
