I was a reluctant and late to the party fan. I had a friend who loved the show and recommended it and I think I scoffed at the idea. I then by accident, started watching repeats during season 6 and just became obsessed with the show. It truly is one of the best written shows with wonderfully complex characters. Yeah, season 1 is a little too Monster of the Week, but it gives us a little background. If you've never watched, don't dismiss it until after you start watching some of season 2. Also don't judge it on the the campy not great movie of the same name.
I'm planning a rewatch. Netflix has them but it looks like it's leaving in April. But they also are editted versions so I have been frustrated watching there. I've not gone through all the links here, but I know some are old and the episode titles are screwed up, but it looks like the right episodes are in the right place ie. S6.9 is Smashed. I do have the DVDs but who watches DVDs anymore.
