inbox and outbox mesages (1027 views, 43 replies)
I think it would be a good idea and less time consuming if there was a way to delete all of our messages.
Don't delete them. :)
Seriously, how often you delete messages in your email accounts or messengers.
@RandomOne Actually nothing being deleted.

I'm talking about all sites in general.
@Dr.Evil You mean nothing is being deleted from the server?
It is still helpful (for me) to have a less cluttered inbox and outbox.
I'm pretty sure that's mostly what other members are asking for.
@ i started deleting my inbox messages and page 34 was messages from a month ago ? av been here for over a year never deleted them before , can u imagine how many pages and how long it would take me to delete messages saying the new eps of this tv show is up ? haha
@Dr.Evil al the time ! when you read them unless its important whats the point keeping them ? u wont read them again and say you needed look for a message from a few months ago how easier would it be to find it ?
I hit select all then uncheck the ones I need like show links. I do it everyday so I never have more than two or three pages. I would like to separate the links from the likes. I have three days a week with zero time to watch anything. Then a couple of binge watch days.
Okay I added delete all stuff. But only to your inbox. I don't know if you need it for outbox.
@Dr.Evil Thanks, it worked great! And YES, it would be nice to have it on the outbox too!
@chaseyerself Mine is exactly the same as well. :(
EDIT: I found it!
It's at the BOTTOM of the page when you are in your inbox.
Select a message and choose the delete all option.
It will ask for confirmation to delete all from "system" or whatever you have chosen.
I hope that makes sense and it helps you. :)
@chaseyerself No worries. I seem to see it underneath each message, too, now.
It might've always been there, I don't know. lol

Let me try to explain why companies don't actually delete your data.
Please red this first: softwareengineering.stackexchang...
Messages never being deleted! Usually sites just flag them as:
deleted_by_sender
deleted_by_recei ver
Why? Because if you delete a message permanently as a sender - a receiver will not be able to read it. It's not about security, it's about usability and design.
What about TwoMovies?
We delete old messages from time to time permanently. But only messages that were both flagged as deleted by sender and receiver.

i know you can select all then press delete , but that only deletes the message on that page !
