Depends on what you're moderating.

Or you can use google translate. I don't understand, Russian or Spanish, but I know what both of you said now. It took less than 30 seconds to find out.

I think a moderator should be tolerant, open minded, helpful at assisting fellow board members, etc.

I don't think a moderator should ever be rude, racist, biased, or sarcastic to his/her fellow members.

Just my opinion. :)

@michael59 I agree with you 110% in regards to what a Moderator should and should not be like.

All of the above are crucial to maintaining a good site with a strong, friendly community where the User feels they can rely on a Moderator when having any type of issues, concerns, questions and so on.

When a Moderator is "rude, racist, biased, or sarcastic to his/her fellow members" the User will most likely leave and never return and the site will get a bad reputation. Trolls, Bullies, and bad apples end up taking over and eventually it just fails.

When a Moderator is "tolerant, open minded, helpful at assisting fellow board members, etc." the User will feel at home and the site will thrive.

This is the whole purpose of a Moderator and their duty.

This applies to any site and platform anywhere.

Being a Moderator is not easy or fun as with power comes great responsibility and not everyone is made for that.

Well, considering most the mods are linkers, id say you just have to be a linker... for the most part, yep.. some of them that got mod didn't know a thing at all about moding whatsoever. At all.. but they were linkers so they got the job. So there ya go. smiley

Well I guess I'm not a worthy candidate for a moderator. I've got too many issues that would appear to be a conflict. I'm sure enough extremely opinionated smiley smiley, I'm a complete loon smiley most the time, I drink excessively smiley, I get angry smiley easily, I have a morbid sense of humor smiley, Especially when others don't see the funny smiley in serious situations. That settles it. I'm just too phucked up!! smiley LOL, Cheers smiley.

@WEBHEAD🕸️ Maybe "a resume" maybe more familiar than "CV"?

It's a Brit. English v American English thing.

@PureVodka🍺 You read what I wrote wrong, PV. I didn't say he asked what a resume is, just that he would have understood if you said it [a CV] is exactly what a resume is.

I thought you were asking about moderators in general. I honestly have no idea what the criteria is to moderate here. Does one apply to be one? I thought they would choose candidates and contact them through personal message if they were looking for recruits?

I also had no idea what PureVodka meant by CV either. smiley

@..box.. The constant 'humm' of machinery. Never mind living in a city. where there is a constant serine and helicopters.
Wish it was just a bee. There might be honey.

@Egor17 Might be an idea to get out into the countryside and watch a few of those clouds you recommended me to do, remember? It was actually therapeutic.

@..box.. Ye if that was that easy. When I was young, sleeping under a bush was easy. Now older and no money.. Bugger!
Na still easy and I don't ever want to sleep rough again.
You are on this world and doing 1000 MPH just by our worlds spin.
Clouds and stars are amazing. Clouds change per min. Stars take their time, but do change. It is down to point of who is looking.
And Yes. Laying back to watch the clouds is far better than any chemical.
