It's like a messenger, a chat. Does it look confusing for you? I like sending short messages by hitting enter.

Well I wasn’t using it as a chat. I was using it like email. I don’t like chat. I want to send my message and exit, not have an ongoing conversation because I kind of just want to watch shows, lol. Because they’re in my inbox, and it’s not a live chat stream, I just figured that I would treat it like I treat email. <br> <br> I’m not sure if your comment about it being confusing was supposed to be derogatory but I just wanted to make sure there wasn’t another way to actually move to the next line. I cannot move to the next line at all on iOS and I don’t know about people with other mobile devices. My days of having a computer were over many years ago. <br> <br> Even this interface has a submit button.

I have often hit enter by mistake wanting to make a new paragraph and sent the message prematurely. I think in PM people often send longer messages and may want to separate text. I for one would love for the enter button to create a new line and have a submit or send button to send the message.

Shift+enter is standard for newline on Desktop Web UI without form submit, anyone who has used Facebook or forums will probably expect this, but for Mobile Web UI it makes sense to replace pressing enter key to send message with clicking a 'send' button

I keep sending my private messages more than once as I’m typing them because I’ve been hitting “enter” to go to the next line. I’m on iOS and I can’t really hit shift and enter (ctrl...forget it, lol) to make a new line in my messages, so I was hoping that you could change it to just enter and put a submit or send button instead?
If this is been addressed somewhere else, or if I have it wrong and there’s another way to do it, I’m sorry. I tried searching and looking.
