Good idea. I've seen many movies were there wasn't a storyline added so you wouldn't know what the movie was about.

i could provide something original, although what i would also like to see done is cutting some of the descriptions down from practically a full page of text. we also have descriptions that absolutely do not match the movie or show displayed.
i'll keep your request in mind and help two-movies wherever i can.

Keeping definative opinions out of the descriptions is important, too.

Ordinarily websites restrict some searches as otherwise those outside in authority can then insist things like links can be taken down.
Internal keywords might help the community but external keywords may result in constant challenges of links.

If you have a suggested format, then this facilitates this process and simplifies it.
I would be willing to help. What are your goals? Which have priority? Do you have a status report listing which ones need these descriptions or are inadequate?

I did do a real one though a few months back for a Star Trek: Discovery episode..

@nixonaddict You have the idea there, but a bit more expansion/length and colourful adjectives would be useful.
The storyline is not meant to necessarily persuade the reader, merely give a general idea of what the film or series is about, without giving away any twists or major plot elements, yet make it enticing (not bland).
Submit the storylines on the film/series page where is says "Storylines (plots) from our users" (rather than here) and they will be read and approved if they meet the criteria.
Note that the submitted storylines cannot be copied from any other source (such as IMDB) therefore those writing need to watch the film or series they are writing for.
(Copy and paste from IMDB hurt this site and cause the site problems.)
As Dr Evil wrote in the first post, most of the films and series on our site do not have any storylines, so beginning anywhere that you are familiar would be very welcome.

hi 
there is a film titled Metal Skin (1994) and you can't find it through a title or director search, because the site has it listed as Speed (1994). i just submitted a YouTube link, which is better than nothing since the others were for Speed. oh and all the reviews are for Speed as well, with no mention of the discrepancy.
reporting this here because it relates to what i commented earlier, and because i took the time to write up a nice description for Speed that proved to be unnecessary after all.

We need writers-volunteers for movie descriptions (plots, storylines, I don't know the difference between these definitions lol).
Hiring in-house writer is rather expensive and we don't have such money.
So, if you think that you may help us with this task, please submit your storylines into the form on every movie page. You will get points and our respect :)
