The swords don’t seem to have any weight in them which makes it feel like toy swords which they are. Maybe back then samurai were such badasses that swords were light as toys but watching it I expect it to be wielded with more weight on screen. It feels like weightless cgi.
Also the action moves too fast. I’m a big fan of action and in Hong Kong movies action is made for the audience not for some sort of speed record. I remember Bruce Lee slowing down his kicks so audiences could enjoy it, or in wrestling or the Matrix where the performers and the way the action is shot is in a way, slower with emphasis, that we can see.
