5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
a small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well.
Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts (high).
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!
I use a tuperware bowl and plop it out on a plate when finished.
Stripe it with chocolate syrup if I have any.

@Bread&Circuses If you can make this with almond flour, then you could do a low carb one.

4 tablespoons almond flour
4 tablespoons zero kcal sugar (Erythritol etc)
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons almond milk
3 tablespoons butter/ghee

What you think?

@Bread&Circuses Might try this after, just don't know if it will set like a cake, with the almond flour having a lot of fat in it instead of carbs you get from normal flour.

@PureVodka🍺 Try coconut flour and coconut sugar, the sugar has the same calories as other sugar but the body absorbs it at a much slower rate due to the inulin fibre it contains.
Best thing is they both taste good and are cheap from Aldi.

@payno Coconut sugar, not for me, but maybe someone else would like it. tools.myfooddata.com/nutrition-f... And i already put inulin in it.

@StarKissed I haven't for a while, but I bet I've made it 50 times over the past decade. I'd measure the dry ingredients two at a time, the second in an extra cup. Often hard to tell if I'm efficient or just lazy.

@Bread&Circuses I'm afraid if I get all the ingredients at the store, that I'd get fat in a hurry. smiley

Just made a Keto (low carb) version of this to @Breads cooking instructions.

4 tablespoons almond flour (40g)
4 tablespoons zero kcal sugar (Erythritol) (60g)
2 tablespoons cocoa I used about 1 1/2 tp (5-7g)*
1 egg (large)
3 tablespoons almond milk (30 ml) you could just use normal milk with it only being 30 ml
10 drops vanilla flavoring
5 ml of double cream
3 tablespoons butter (40g) was salted and was melted in the microwave covered for 1 min 10 sec then left to cool down
I also added 1 tp (5g) inulin**
And one pinch of backing powder

Prepared (but i let it stand for 10 min after mixing) to @Breads instructions and for the time (3 min) stated even tho my microwave is 900w

The outcome, just looks like a chocolate cake, it is firm smiley and had a " tiny " bit of liquid left in the bottom, when you eat it with a tiny bit of the liquid, it tastes like it has toffee caramel in it.

For a healthy Keto/low carb easy to make cake, i am just shocked at how good this looks and taste 9.5/10

@PureVodka🍺 Just remembered something i forgot to add.

3 tablespoons butter (40g) was salted and was melted in the microwave covered for 1 min 10 sec then left to cool down

" microwave set at 60% power (540w) for 1 min 10 secs " This is because microwaved butter spits a lot.

@Bread&Circuses It gets worse, i used a Chinese rice/noodle bowl to make it in LsmileyL.
It rose to about 2 cm of the top and did look good.

Made this again (made a few times now) last night and going to have some of it with this jenniferbanz.com/the-best-keto-c... i made (and @1Frac has) a few day back, even tho i made this to a T the crust was no good, to soggy (so i removed it and froze the left over filling), needs to have a crunch, so next time i'm going to make this www.thefoodbible.com/low-carb-ke... up for the crust.

By the way, you would not believe that cheese cake filling is low carb if you tried it, it does taste good, soft yet firm and very creamy. smiley

Edit: By the way, i only made up the half size version of that cheese cake and there was still a very lot of it.
