I've only just seen this post. This sounds like it could be a lot of fun. I love "The Boys".
I did a bit of research, and found a bit of expansion of the Variety announcement from similar sources.
I also looked for any sort of trailer, but Gen V doesn't have a release date, and is expected to premiere in 2023.

‘The Boys’ Superhero College Spinoff Title Revealed: Welcome to ‘Gen V’
The upcoming college-themed spinoff of Amazon’s “The Boys” finally has a name: “Gen V.”
“It’s gonna be a rollercoaster,” star Lizzie Broadway says in the clip. “It’s gonna be filled with blood, guts and everything else.” Chance Perdomo adds, “It’s f**ked up. You’re gonna like it.”
