Just wondering if there is an easy way to have the site default to night theme?

Much easier on my eyes. Maybe some moderators will see the same. The screen is not paper but light emitting. As is paint on a canvas is opposite to colours on a screen.

@Egor17 Does it switch back to the brighter theme when you log out and then log back in?

I'm just trying to ascertain what exactly you're asking.

When I switch it, it stays (on whatever I've selected) till I change it again.

Something that helps me is change light bulbs to a full spectrum light or a lower wattage light. ...

@Rescue Dog Mama So true. I use a 20W full spectrum table lamp for my key board and desk at night. Find that the screen it's self is enough when watching stuff.

Ye I know it's saved as a cookie. So as long as my browser is on it will stay. My browser deletes cookies and history on close.
I was just wondering if there was a setting in my profile somewhere that would have the site go night as soon as I logged in?
It's not a biggie. Just a curiosity. Also total laziness. Really it's just one click and tis night theme for whole session.

Cookies is better because on different devices I use different themes. On my desktop I use the white one. On my mobile - the black one.

Hadn't considered different devices. I'm one of the few people in the western world that does not own a pocket microwave. Or use WiFi. Next I'll be wearing a grounded tinfoil hat. No use at all if not grounded. Though that might restrict movement.

This site is way better than most and it's easy to miss some features. Always better to ask. Much easier than frustration at trying to find something that isn't there.

Unlike most stuff, here you get a polite answer, not a machine that has limited responses.
Ever tried to contact a major company like phone, electricity, gas or god forbid, the government directly? I think that should be part of the definition of 'Frustration'.

@Egor17 Lol, I agree 100%, trying to reach, major companies, is a pain, and alot of times when you do get through, it is a person who cannot speak english very well, and that is "frustrating" as well..

Yes. That is because most major companies sublet their answering services to other companies that are cheaper. Like India. Where the yes/no answer is polite.
Frustration added to frustration to the point you hang up.

I just don't pay the bill and find another company. Never been sued for services not provided.
LOL
