@Dr.Evil Did you watch the short video clip? It has been fact checked by Youtube and shows the contracts by the US department of defense contracts. I do want you to know that I think it is a noble cause to help Ukraine with this war. I do want people to know how much the US has contributed to this happening. I am a patriot but I think this is very wrong what the US has been doing in Ukraine that I really think helped to cause this to happen.

I absolutely disagree with this.
To help Ukrainian families in crises, donate to the Red Cross that is already on the ground in service to the Ukrainian people in Ukraine and outside.
Do not donate your services to the Ukrainian military, which fuels a war making it last longer, further putting Dr Evil's own family in turmoil. Especially if you are from the United States, which is most of us here.
Understand for what Dr Evil is asking to be legal, the US Congress in 2016 had to remove a US policy ban that prevents our US tax dollars from funding the militarization of Neo-Nazies .
They removed this ban, to fund this militia now turned into an official branch of the Ukrainian military, the Azov Battalion .

@Hiddenpalm Exactly. These two countries have some of the most corrupt officials in the world. They are both running some of the most shrewd propaganda campaigns I've seen in a while. Donate to the PEOPLE of Ukraine directly so that they can have food, water and other resources. Don't donate to a government. They should already have money from taxes. Help the people. Other than that, you are openly funding their corruption.

Long enough for people to escape, to keep more of the city and it's infrastructure in tact, to prevent a complete Russian take over and installation of a puppet government.
Don't get me wrong, I still think red cross and other things might be a better choice for donations; but I wouldn't go so far as to call it fueling the war. The war is already plenty fueled and it's going to continue until Putin decides not to anymore, one way or another. I don't think how well they defend themselves is going to change that much.
If anything, a better defense is more likely to end it sooner do to the difficulty of the invasion.
Stil, I would donate to red cross and such just because your money will go further and help more; leave the military funding to the governments. The amount raised in fundraisers is more effective in humanitarian aid anyways.

I'm an American and I'm following several European sources of information on details of the conflict. My college degree is in military history so it something I've been studying most of my adult life.
All that said, I've looked into the Azov Battalion - and yes they are as bad as you say. The problem is that they are no more than 900 combat effectives and their political movement has never gathered more than a couple percentage points in Ukrainian popular support. And most of their combat strength seems to be centered in Mariupol and will likely be decimated before that siege is over.
They are an extreme minority of the Ukrainian self-defense effort. The Ukrainian government is using them as expendable troops - but again remember they were less than 1,000 individuals out of a nation of 44,000,000 individuals.

There are problems with the Ukraine government, particularly the US-driven coup that replaced a democratically-elected government with the current one. And there are right-wing extremists, tolerated or even supported by the administration. These are issues which should be opened up for discussion in calmer times.
But NOTHING justifies the Russian invasion.

Yes, there is some ideologies that are problematic in Ukraine. That could be said of almost any country though. Some less pronounced than others, however, that's not the crux of the biscuit here.
Doc asking for direct funding of a foreign military operation is something I can only imagine would be suspect if I were to contribute in numbers that would be significant. My $100 or 5 bucks would buy what? Would I love to personally purchase 40 MiGs to fire some missiles straight up Putin's ass? 100%.
BUT, the REAL issue is, they've been ghosted by every ally they thought they had. The EU folded faster than Superman on laundry day. The U.S. has been a cheerleader at best. "Go get 'em tiger". Besides the innocent deaths and needless destruction, that's the real tragedy. Zero backup is a shock to me. Poland wanted to send planes to the U.S. so the good 'ol USA can look like the cavalry. That got shot down. NIMBY at it finest. No one wants to appear involved. Don't even get me started on Spain, France or Germany. It's heartbreaking.

I support Doc and his family and I have helped so far to 5 refugee families from Ukraine. I support no one politically in this war. It was wrong and it was stupid for this war to happen , this is my opinion since the beginning. Will support anyone that needs help no matter Ukrainian or Russian, meaning in a humanitarian way.

UA'S on fire and the west is throwing fuel on it. For the ones funding it, the weapons dealers and global players, those who bet on the outcome, who award themselves the contracts to rebuild after everyone has died... the profiteers are the winners not the citizens no matter the outcome.

The National Bank of Ukraine has decided to open a special fundraising account to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The central bank’s decision comes after the Ukrainian government imposed martial law throughout Ukraine in response to armed aggression by Russia and the renewed threat to Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity.
NBU Governor Kyrylo Shevchenko announced the opening of this special account in his 24 February video address.

This account accepts multiple currencies. It has been established and opened to receive transfers from international partners and donors in both foreign currency (U.S. dollars, euros, UK pounds) and hryvnias.
