This is a sick and twisted movie that only seems to promote mimicking sex acts by 11 year old girls. This is disgusting and should be removed. Please admin. Leaving it up and doing nothing is exactly the same as if you're the perpetrator themselves. This is not art this is in no way a good thing. Remove it

@Peacefulsoul72 Like I told you in PM, I use my favorites as a watch list and I haven't even watched the movie yet but with all the news articles about it is why I added it. I don't listen to what other people tell me to think or say or do or act. I'll decide that for myself based on what I see, not what you see or think I should see. Get off my back.

I have not watched this, but understand it is anti-child sexualisation. I also read there is an orchestrated effort to review-bomb it on IMDB/Rotten Tomatoes.

If we are to ban or censor movies then perhaps we should start with those glorifying violence or those pushing medical disinformation. They are really dangerous.

@Buttless yeah, that's exactly what it it's a commentary on the sexualisation of children not an exploitation of them, it's like these people who are complaining didn't even watch the movie, the only thing that was wrong with the presentation of the movie was the original ads netflix released but the movie is fine

@Buttless If we were allowed to know your age and whether or not you have children, those answers would probably tell us a lot.

I can't imagine anyone "wanting" to watch it knowing there's a possibility of "soft-porn" involved with 11 y.o. girls.

Thankfully, that won't be my problem.

Jodie Foster isn't twerking while adult men stare and the camera zooms in on them grinding.
Taxi Driver wasn't made to be child porn, Cuties was.
I suspect severinks likes them young too.

@fortunate1 I think this movie was about the effect of pop culture on traditional families.
Have you seen any music videos in the last 10 years? Kids copy what they see. My daughters did, about the same age they experimented with makeup. And they got over it.
I find the pageants for children in USA much more disturbing, and little girls are pushed into those by their mothers.

I would stick with the certificates of the movie. If the concept was unfit for release to an audience, it would have been reflected on the motion picture content rating system. Yet this isnt the case. The applicable limitations concern the age group from 15 and below. That qualifies about 80% of the movies these days:

Certification
Argentina:16 Australia:MA15+ Brazil:16 Canada:TV-MA (self-applied) Chile:16+ (Netflix self-rating, video) France:Tous publics Japan:15 (self-applied) Mexico:TV-MA (self-applied) Singapore:NC16 South Korea:15 Spain:16 United Kingdom:15 United States:TV-MA Vietnam:C18

I was watching logan lucky and quite a large segment of the film concerns logans 8 year old daughter preparing for and attending beauty pageants.
Now, in the UK, we don’t have these and tbh watching a minor be made up to look like an adult with make up and hair and perform on a stage seems odd.
However, we do have a long tradition of women dressing as men and vice versa in our comedy and our Christmas pantomimes.
I’m pretty sure quite a few countries and cultures would consider this Strange too.
I don’t think there is a conspiracy to desensitise us to paedophilia and maybe we should just step back a moment and question the whole pageant industry before hysterically singling our individual films and programmes ?
Here’s a super duper parody with Precious Plum to lighten the tone

Nobody is saying that the idea of the movie is wrong ,the scninematography and some disturbing actual scenes are the problem, sorry but the shock value gets lost when an actual 11 year old starts twerking for a grown man in the movie then its just sick, that and many other scenes, theres ways to deliver scenes not everything needs to be necessarily shown, especially when the actress is 11 years old ,and i see comments saying this movie is for children funny enough they cant watch it, in the usa is rated mature and other countries 15/16 so no this movie was not meant for them to watch or they wouldve made more suited for them ,im not arguing for the ban of the movie just giving my two cents, peace

Considering we have a group desperately attempting to pass Pedophilia as acceptable, or at the least, a disorder, just as Psycho-Psychiatrists attempted in the 70's, I see this film as little more than a tool being used to ultimately push acceptance of old men having intercourse with children.

Whether the sick-o's ever get such a thing lawfully passed or not, won't make much difference to a Father, (or Mother, Grandparent); they'll be on look-out for the offender, who I guarantee won't walk away from the encounter in the same condition they were in when first approached. Some will get their brains blown out as soon as the parent finds the perpetrator, and they'll gladly go to prison for doing it, too.

Just a warning to any one out there salivating over the possibility of the Law being passed.

Sincerely,
Grandmother With a Gun

P.S. There are 1000's of parents out there who never got the chance to confront their child's offender, so even if the victim's parents can't accomplish the action themselves, there will be someone around every corner, just waiting for the opportunity.

I will say I hadn't even heard of this film until I read an article where people are trying to have it banned from Netflix. I did watch a few minutes of it and was shocked at how sexualized it was especially for 11 year olds. While I don't agree with the movie or it's content, I don't agree with people getting mad at this site or Netflix for that matter. Get pissed off at the people who made the film in the first place! Choose not to watch it! 💋

Well, I of course had to go watch this. So, making this post probably made more people watch it, ironic huh?

I was expecting to see some really bad stuff from all the talk on here. What I did see wasn't nice to see young girls doing, of course. This film is trying to make a statement about what is going on in our world. A lot of young girls are lost and don't know their place in the world, as with the main character in this film. She goes down the wrong path. Her mother, busy with her own problems, doesn't seem to notice. She is influenced by her friends, what she see around her, what she sees on the internet, in music videos, etc. This film is trying to tell us to take a look at what we are showing our young girls. Movies, TV, the music industry, all of them sexualize women to the fullest. What do we think our young girls are going to turn out like in a world like this? THAT is what this film is trying to get across to us. It had to show the kinds of things it did in order to get this message across. Unfortunately most people are too blind to see the whole point of this film. All they can do is be outraged instead of maybe trying to understand the deeper message.

@rickgrimesrocks Unfortunately those who need to see it and understand it's message, don't have the morals & values to even recognize themselves, or their own children's behavior.

Even more disturbing, is it's a bit too coincidental that so many Pedophiles are associated with this film. This is no accident; there's a definite "other" agenda here.

@rickgrimesrocks I've read several comments from multiple online sites that have dropped names of Pedophiles who were associated with this film, but I didn't write them down. They were names I've never heard before. Pedophiles are literally everywhere.

There were a few I remember due to other reasons, like Sterling Van Wagenen, who co-founded The Sundance Festival with Robt. Redford. Van Wagenen was sentenced to a minimum of six years in prison after being found guilty of child molestation in June last year. "Cuties" supposedly won awards at the Sundance Film Festival & was promoted & highly acclaimed by Van Wagenen. There's no info suggesting Redford has any derelictions such as this, but who knows? Hollywood is a Den of Inequity, and no doubt Corey Feldman could enlighten us with multiple names. Corey claims Pedophilia is the biggest problem there is in Hollywood.

Sterling Van Wagenen and Robert Redford co-founded the Sundance film festival back in 1978. Sterling Van Wagenen resigned from Sundance in 1993 after an underage boy accused him of molestation. Disgusting as that is, it also means he could have had nothing to do with Sundance awarding this film an award. I could also find nothing online about him personally promoting this film. I would safely say he had no affiliation with this film.

Names you may have read in comments is also not proof that any pedophiles had anything to do with the production of this movie. That is simply people running their gums.

Since Harvey Weinstein has been blasted by the media in the past few years I doubt if he could have had anything to do with the CAA singling this movie out also.

No doubt there are plenty of pedophiles in Hollywood just like there are plenty of pedophiles hiding in our everyday lives. Children are more likely to be molested by someone close to them than someone they barely know. That's why I don't trust anyone to be alone with my children unless I have known them for a long time. Even then I make sure my kids know they can tell me if anything ever happens to them.

@rickgrimesrocks It's not a disorder you can turn off and on, and although within a block or so, most of us can find a Sex-Offender living nearby.
Medications may help, but they don't like or want, to take them.

Hollywood does draw in sicko's from all walks of life from every state. If it's a perversion, it'll be found in Hollyweird more-so than anywhere else.

This Cuties film wasn't just thought up, written, developed & produced in one season; from idea to production it's probably 3-5 years if everything runs smoothly.
It's had plenty of time for every pervert in France to touch it in some manner.

Whoever you chose to defend is your business, and your problem, but Sex Offenders don't usually have a code of ethics' boundary you can trust they'll never cross. These are Deviants; they have Deviant thoughts, & they act out in Deviant Behaviors.

Besides if you want to get rid of cuties, then you also need to get rid of X-rated moves all the way down to PG-13, all are able to show nudity.
