"Pentagon Leaker ID'd as US Air National Guard Member Who Shared Docs in Online Forum

"I would definitely not call him a whistleblower," said a teenage member who frequented the Discord gaming platform."

If you frequently use Discord, be aware that the whole platform is probably being heavily monitored now, thanks to this guy leaking secret Pentagon documents of battlefields, and I guess whatever stuff he found interesting. Any platform community with a Pentagon employee in it is probably being heavily monitored. This place is probably being ... LOL. Anyhow, interesting story and more about "OG". He's probably going straight to jail. Someone should have probably told him about Assange.

@Hiddenpalm Nobody is too bright at 21 years of age. Besides, we are lacking the necessary context on why and under which circumstances he posted the classified intel. Was he doing it for bragging rights or to prove a point?

@JudgeDredd Good point. I just heard about this for the first time. According to the supposed "teen" they interviewed, he was an anti-government right-winger and not a real whistleblower. Like he wasn't exposing corruption or war crimes like Assange and Manning, just details about battlefields and how the Pentagon was responding to the Chinese weather balloon. Im going to look into it more.

@Hiddenpalm Kinda reminds me of this kid who hacked into NASA servers to get his hands on a blueprint of a space shuttle to hang on his bedroom wall... smiley smiley

The thing we will never know is how many documents are genuine.
I doubt that the security services were unaware of the leak for several weeks because everything on the internet is being scanned and monitored. It might take a time to find the leaker but meanwhile the authorities would leak their own doctored documents to cause confusion and plant false information.
Some of the false documents might even upset a few allies, to make them look real.

But we can be sure that this US National Guard guy will be locked away for decades.
