Downloading HDrip files - (930 views, 8 replies)

This topic has been closed.

God

Every movie I want to watch gets downloaded to my phone then transferred to my ps3 to watch on a TV. (Sounds like extra steps, but I don't have internet at home so I have to.) I can download any files with no problems and can view them all on my phone or PC, but my PlayStation will not recognize the HDrip files. It says corrupted file or something every time. Does anyone know why this is and if I can somehow fix this? It's every single HDrip files, but only those. I'm just wondering because I either have to watch them on my laptop or my phone unless I want to wait for the Blu-ray or DVD version to hopefully be put up some time.

This may help you, it did for me but not for the same problem. If you use WIN X DVD Author (it is free) to download the HDrip it should make it so it can play anywhere. I was told to do this on a Windows forum, a few years ago. I am sure someone here will correct this is they think I am wrong, lol. I now use it to download every movie from here, and can play them everywhere.

I don't have problems with my PlayStation recognizing any movie files on the site except for those labeled HDrip. I've learned to not even bother trying to get the movie and just subscribing hoping a different type gets added at some point. I do use the HDMI cable and all that, but it's the PlayStation itself that says they are corrupted. Every one of the HDrip files. All others are good to go.

@◦•●◉✿♡Momof3αηgєℓѕ♡✿◉●•◦ Usually a HDRip files come with avi container, when it get upload to video host and get convert to mp4, the avi extension still there, if so, try to remove it, so the extension will be mp4.

That is what I was trying to explain, The WinXDVD Author will change it for you automatically (mp4).. (No I am not making a profit from this LOL>) There was a time nothing would play in my DVD player,(except store bought DVD's) I have been doing this for about 2 years now, and have no complaints with it. A friend borrowed one I burned, and I am pretty sure he played it in his PS, and it was HDRip to begin with.

@Rescue Dog Mama I don't know if that would work on my PlayStation or not, but I'll think about it. Thank you for helping!

@◦•●◉✿♡Momof3αηgєℓѕ♡✿◉●•◦ ALternatively, if that doesn't work. Transfer the file to your laptop, connect your laptop to your TV directly via HDMI and then play the movie. You'll have no problem unless your laptop is having problems with playing HDRip files. :)
