The 1930s weren’t great. It’s true. The Great Depression, which ramped up in 1929, raged on for the whole decade, breaking the world economy and forcing millions of workers around the world to scrape a living. One World War was fading into the past, but another was just around the corner, and of course diseases.............*Suffice to say, not the best time to be alive. That is, unless you were a motor car designer. Only some of the cars from that decade are still roadworthy today, but those that are turn heads on every corner. The designers of the time were clearly having a whale of a time, drawing swooping curves and sumptuous silhouettes with reckless abandon. Musk Says Tesla Motorcycle Won't Happen...Ever.....Tesla Electric Motorcycle The Model M Four wheels good, two wheels bad.....Tesla intends to make quite a range of vehicles. It already has a couple different sedans in the Model S and Model 3, along with the Model X SUV. A crossover, the Model Y, is now on the way for 2020, as is the Semi and its second sportscar, the Roadster. CEO Elon Musk has already said they would build a pickup truck as well. What it won't be building, though, is a motorcycle like the Tesla Model M..*This is a bit of a shame. Electric motorcycles are awesome

So, why won't Musk extend some of that sales magic to motorcycles? We now have a definitive answer to that question. At the recent Tesla annual shareholder meeting, he was asked by an audience member, "Has Tesla ever thought about going into the motorcycle business?" The entrepreneur responded with an autobiographical anecdote. Apparently, Musk had enjoyed dirt biking for around eight years as a lad, and even had a road bike. But, when he was 17 he was almost killed by a truck and, he explained, this apparently forever ended any fascination he might have had with riding motorized bikes.....Prototype On The Back Burner For Now.

It's too bad, though.Two-wheeled vehicles are an efficient way of getting around and the Tesla brand could easily extend over an entire range of products, from street bikes to scooters to electric bicycles.Almost everyone that has a bike has had falls and close calls.....Get back on the Iron Horse.

The design studio sculpted many things into the Redeye to make sure it not only had Dodge DNA ,but made sure that Santa could deliver his toys in fast, speedy and fashionable manner.

When it comes to automakers redesigning Santa's venerable sleigh, Dodge isn't the first OEM to take a crack at it, but it may have created a sleigh that can't be topped or beaten in a drag race.

1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback
*The Boss 429 also known as the "Boss" by enthusiasts is arguably one of the rarest and most valued muscle cars from the era. In total there were 1358 original Boss 429s made. For a two year run,1969 & 1970. The origin of the Boss 429 came about as Ford was seeking to develop a Hemi engine that could compete with the famed 426 Hemi from Chrysler..Boss Delivered Well Over 500 Horsepower.

🔹The Boss 429 engine was derived from the Ford 385 engine. It used four-bolt mains, a forged steel crank and forged steel connecting rods. The engine featured aluminum cylinder heads, with a modified Hemi type combustion chamber which Ford called "crescent". These heads used the "dry-deck" method, meaning no head gaskets were used. Each cylinder, oil passage and water passage had an individual "O" ring style seal to seal it tight. The Boss 429 engine used a single Holley 4-barrel carburetor rated at 735 CFM mounted on an aluminum intake manifold that flowed well for its time.

★The Model X was introduced in 1926 as a comprehensively reengineered and improved model based on the Model A. It featured a new chassis, a redesigned engine, and a new front suspension arrangement to lower the center of gravity.

★The Duesenberg Model X offered a significant step up in performance over the outgoing Model A, the comprehensively reworked 260 cu. in., overhead cam, straight-8 engine was fitted with a new crankshaft, a new valve train, different pistons, and a revised intake. Power climbed from 88 hp to 100 hp, and the car was capable of topping out at 100 mph.

★The Great Depression killed Duesenberg in 1937 along with many other automakers in the US and Europe. The surviving Duesenbergs are now individually known to collectors and enthusiasts. Every now and then a new Duesenberg “barn find” is uncovered, sending a tsunami of excitement across the classic car world – like in the early 2000s when Jay Leno discovered and bought a remarkably well preserved Model X.

Airplane-Engine 1939 Plymouth Pickup is Radically Radial....Ready for takeoff
✴The 1939 Plymouth pickup, Its pockmarked, raw-steel body is dotted with rivets, and rising out of the open engine bay is a halo of finned cylinders—an airplane radial engine shoved back against the firewall. The joke’s on you, though, if you think it’s all for show. When Gary starts it up, there’s a wheeze and then a rat-a-tat-tat in the bare-metal engine bay. Smoke billows around the Plymouth and it disappears before you can comprehend what you’re looking at.

✴The transmission may think everything is copacetic, but inside and out, the truck thinks it’s a plane. Pitot tubes and aircraft lights dot the exterior, and in the interior, leather aircraft seats face dual steering yokes and an array of gauges intended to soar above the clouds.

✴Early radial engines used what were basically shotgun blanks to send a gust of high-pressure gas into the cylinder to start the engine.
