There’s unlikely to be a year like 2020 any time soon and a video that compiles footage from some of the biggest global events is being praised on social media. The video features music composed and edited by Cee-Roo, an EDM artiste from Switzerland, and features a montage of visuals from events around the world. So there’s footage of the pandemic, the Black Lives Matter protests, the US elections, the Beirut blast, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the death of sporting stars like Kobe Bryant and Diego Maradona.

However, the video ends on an optimistic note with footage of frontline workers receiving applause, Joe Biden’s electoral victory, and police officials taking a knee during the Black Lives Matter protests.

🔹 A Family’s Food Angel
While going through a divorce, my mother fretted over her new worries: no income, the same bills, and no way to afford groceries. It was around this time that she started finding boxes of food outside our door every morning. This went on for months, until she was able to land a job. We never did find out who it was who left the groceries for us, but they truly saved our lives.

🔹Seven Miles For Me
Leaving a store, I returned to my car only to find that I’d locked my keys and cell phone inside. A teenager riding his bike saw me kick a tire and say a few choice words. What’s wrong? he asked. I explained my situation. “But even if I could call my wife, I said, she can’t bring me her car key, since this is our only car. He handed me his cell phone. Call your wife and tell her I’m coming to get her key.That’s seven miles round trip. Don’t worry about it. An hour later, he returned with the key. I offered him some money, but he refused. Let’s just say I needed the exercise,” he said. Then, like a cowboy in the movies, he rode off into the sunset.

🔹 My Granddaughter’s Dress
I saw a dress in a consignment shop that I knew my granddaughter would love. But money was tight, so I asked the store owner if she could hold it for me. May I buy the dress for you? asked another customer. Thank you, but I can’t accept such a gracious gift, I said. Then she told me why it was so important for her to help me. She’d been homeless for three years, she said, and had it not been for the kindness of strangers, she would not have been able to survive. I’m no longer homeless, and my situation has improved, she said. I promised myself that I would repay the kindness so many had shown me. She paid for the dress, and the only payment she would accept in return was a heartfelt hug.

🔹 I Can Still Help
As I walked through the parking lot, all I could think about was the dire diagnosis I had handed my patient Jimmy pancreatic cancer. Just then, I noticed an elderly gentleman handing tools to someone working under his stalled car. That someone was Jimmy. Jimmy, what are you doing? I yelled out. Jimmy dusted off his pants. My cancer didn’t tell me not to help others, Doc, he said, before waving at the old man to start the car. The engine roared to life. The old man thanked Jimmy and drove off. Then Jimmy got into his car and took off as well. Take-home message: Kindness has no limits and no restrictions.

* An elderly physician, Doctor Geezer, became very bored in retirement and decided to re-open a medical clinic.He put a sign up outside that said Dr. Geezer’s clinic Get your treatment for $500 if not cured, get back $1,000.

Doctor Young, who was positive that this old geezer didn’t know beans about medicine, thought this would be a great opportunity to get $1,000.So he went to Dr. Geezer’s clinic.
Dr.Young says Dr. Geezer, I have lost all taste in my mouth. Can you please help me?
Dr. Geezer: Nurse, please bring medicine from box 22 and put 3 drops in Dr. Young’s mouth. Dr. Young: ‘Aaagh! — This is Gasoline!
Dr. Geezer: Congratulations! You’ve got your taste back. That will be $500.
Dr.Young, very annoyed, goes back after a couple of days figuring to recover his money.
Dr. Young: I have lost my memory, I cannot remember anything.
... Dr. Geezer: Nurse, please bring medicine from box 22 and put 3 drops in the patient’s mouth.Dr.Young: Oh, no you don’t that’s Gasoline!
Dr. Geezer: Congratulations! You’ve got your memory back. That will be $500.
Dr.Young now having lost $1000 leaves angrily and comes back after several more days.
Dr.Young: My eyesight has become weak I can hardly see anything! Dr. Geezer: Well, I don’t have any medicine for that so here’s your $1000 back giving him a $10 bill. Dr. Young: But this is only $10! Dr.Geezer Congratulations! You got your vision back! That will be $500.

*Moral of the story Just because you’re *Young doesn’t mean that you can outsmart an old Geezer. Remember: Don’t make old people mad. They don’t like being old in the first place, so it doesn’t take much to tick them off.

*On August 15, 1969, the Woodstock music festival opens on a patch of farmland in White Lake, a hamlet in the upstate New York town of Bethel. Promoters John Roberts, Joel Rosenman, Artie Kornfield and Michael Lang originally envisioned the festival as a way to raise funds to build a recording studio and rock-and-roll retreat near the town of Woodstock, New York. The longtime artists’ colony was already a home base for Bob Dylan and other musicians. Despite their relative inexperience, the young promoters managed to sign a roster of top acts, including the Jefferson Airplane, the Who, the Grateful Dead, Sly and the Family Stone, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Creedence Clearwater Revival and many more.



... *Half a million people waited on a dairy farm in Bethel, New York, for the three-day music festival to start. Billed as An Aquarian Experience 3 Days of Peace and Music, the epic event would later be known simply as Woodstock and become synonymous with the counterculture movement of the 1960s. Woodstock was a success.

*But the massive concert didn’t come off without a hitch Last-minute venue changes, bad weather and the hordes of attendees caused major headaches. Still, despite—or because of—a lot of sex, drugs, rock ‘n’ roll and rain, Woodstock was a peaceful celebration and earned its hallowed place in pop culture history.

Some stories begin on well-defined roads or with billboard accomplishments. But the story of an artist usually begins somewhere less noticeable, perhaps even unrecognizable to most. It is just such a beginning that gave life to the art of creator, Heather Theurer.

Although she was not able to obtain a formal education in art, all her studies of the natural world in addition to the works of great artists including the renaissance masters, the pre-raphaelites of the late 19th century and modern masters have influenced her work in a way she couldn’t imagine getting in a classroom.

... Her process in painting is constantly morphing as she applies new techniques, but most often consist of a multitude layers of paint and glazes as many as 20 or so in some cases, to reach the desired depth and detail that dominates her work.
Heather's paintings are constructed in the midst of a bustling family with five children in Las Vegas, Nevada. And although that poses a multitude of challenges of its own, her art has gone on to get the attention of USA Today, the LA Times and received recognition and awards from respected organizations such as Art Renewal Center, Artist's Magazine and Spectrum, among others.
