@Bread&Circuses Yeah, I saw that movie a few days ago. It was certainly a shocker seeing absolute perfection being turned to that. It took me several minutes to register that it was her and a fastforward back to verify it @JudgeDredd I remember her looking very good in Lord of War.

I've had a strange day, first I find a hat full of money, then this bum with a guitar starts chasing me . . . Hide 8 replies... @JudgeDredd Perhaps a cultural thing. As a kid my family watched The Wizard of Oz every year. It was an event. Have you not read the book or seen the movie ? dosmovies.com/watch_movie/The_Wizard_of_.... @Bread&Circuses You are right. It was a cultural thing. The Wizard of OZ was not a popular book or movie in Greece. I know about it obviously, but it never had the reverence that it enjoys in the States. @JudgeDredd The first five or six time I saw it on a black and white tv set. I didn't see the horse of different colors change colors or how everything other than Kansas was in color. Likely the last half dozen times I did get to see it color. @Bread&Circuses I remember the very first movie I saw in color. It was the 2001 Space Odyssey. I still remember my awe upon being able to see red and green and blue colors on the screen. I grew up with black and white TV's as well and the difference was unreal. Who would have thought that we would get to see movies in BluRay and 4K at the time? Science fiction @JudgeDredd I remember the afternoon our first color tv was delivered. I was in the fourth or fifth grade. Got it just in time to watch Dark Shadows. Dad relented on getting a color tv so he could watch Bonanza and or Gunsmoke in living color. One of those shows of his.
