@JudgeDredd Yes, it's me. And you're pretty much right, but it's for myself more than anyone else.
@PriscillaParadox Ahhh...Anysubj. I miss that place. We had sooooo much fun there. It was a pity really that the best conversationalists were also the most unhinged ones. Mark Rowley....he was my best friend and my worst nemesis in there. And our arguments were epic, in the best sense of that word. They would last for weeks at a time and they were always ending with laughs from both sides, no matter who won or lost. He was the de facto leader of the deplorables and when I was appointed Mod, he saw that as an invitation to the crusades. In his mind it was an all or nothing battle. Either he would come on top or not. He couldnt accept any middle ground and it didnt matter that I was on the other side of that wall. And I tell you, that was the clash of the titans. I miss him so much. In all these years, he is the only one I recognize as a true equal in a debate. At least in here and not in a professional setting. But I totally get it. Drama is fun.
@JudgeDredd Oh that guy used to make me crazy. I am glad you had a better outlook than that and enjoyed the reparte. I suppose that's why you are probably a very good solicitor :-)
@JudgeDredd I also got married and moved to the United States. The former makes me very happy. The latter, not so much. But we have land in Canada and will be moving there in due time.

Its been almost 5 years since I assumed the responsibility of the Moderation. During that period, I have met some really interesting people, have made some new lifelong friends, engaged in hours of satirical debates and had loads of fun in the process. The people that made this worthwhile are just too many to list. Too many to thank. But special mention should go to SimonM, a satirical chauvinist in hiding and Don Robusto, the site's resident self professed proctologist and the one most qualified to treat (with) a***oles (
But alas, times are changing and we must change with them. My decision to depart has been a long time coming. The time required to fulfill the duties entrusted to me takes away from the real world responsibilities. And this is a conflict that cannot be resolved in any other manner.
For those of you who will stay, all I can wish for you is to enjoy each other's company. After all, the online community here is second to none. For those who will go, I bid you farewell and wish you good luck in your future endeavors.
