Looks like the showdown will be Ecuador and Senegal to get out of the group stage.
The USA showed England how to play proper footie but couldn't get the ball over the line and Wales said goodbye to any hopes of progressing by losing to Iran 2-0 and getting their goalie sent off.

Denmark and Tunisia make do with 0-0 and France come from behind to win 4-1 against Australia.
@---BOX--- Day 2 Group C saw Argentina overcome Mexico by 2-0 and poland seeing off the Saudis by the same difference.
Group D saw the French guarantee their qualifications with a 2-1 victory over Denmark and Australia keeps their hand in with a 0-1 win over Tunisia.

@---BOX--- Day 2 in group E leaves plenty of permutations going into the last match of the group phase with Germany and Spain playing an 1-1 draw and Costa Rica getting the better of Japan 1-0. All teams have possibilities to go through.
Group F produced another shock defeat - this time by Belgium at the hands of Morocco 0-2. The other match saw Canada's hopes of qualifying dashed suffering a 1-4 degeat to Croatia.

The neutrals Switzerland picked up the three points against their African rivals Cameroon, who will have a tough time getting out of group G with heavy hitters Brazil favourites.
