It works the same way as posting on the site as long as the member allows wall posts.
As far as image sites, I just search for a word, select images, find one I like, then right click "copy image location" and paste it into the image uploader (the icon that looks like a folder on the reply box, third from the right).
Other members may use more specific sites.
