Eichmann in Jerusalem. A Report on the Banality of Evil (German: Eichmann in Jerusalem. Ein Bericht von der Banalität des Bösen) is a book by political theorist Hannah Arendt, which she wrote on the occasion of the 1961 trial of SS-Obersturmbannführer Adolf Eichmann in the Jerusalem District Court.
The book was first published in 1963 and stirred up several long-running controversies. It cost her many friends.

Adolf Eichmann organized the persecution, expulsion and deportation of Jews and was partly responsible for the murder of an estimated six million people. In May 1960, he was kidnapped from Argentina by Israeli agents and brought to Israel for a public trial. He was sentenced to death and executed by hanging 1962.

@CitizenD What you wrote, is like being in an echo chamber. Perhaps it's just me, and that things have worn me down being in this world (the first paragraph sums it all up), but it's polarising today, at this moment, all over the world.
