Hosting sites that are allowed. (1314 views, 13 replies)

Something that needs to be looked at is a lot of the hosting sites now have new website names or redirect to another website name, yet these new names are excluded from sites we are allowed to post.
For instance, vidzi.tv redirects to vidzi.nu, estream.to redirects to estream.xyz and gorilla.com is now gorilla.in.
Try this link from the links for "Butterflies Are Free".
www.two-movies.name/watch_movie/...

gorillavid.com/gwb26l4cti2o

You will either get a message saying insecure connection or it will just jump to gorilla.in homepage so anyone on this site would assume the links dead.
If you change it to gorillavid.in/gwb26l4cti2o the link still works.

Admins need to add the new url addresses as resolvers or add them as exceptable addresses to be added by uploaders.
Lately i have noticed vidzi.tv is not connecting but if you change the link to vidzi.nu rather than wait for vidzi.tv to redirect then the link will show up straight away so admins need to make vidzi.nu a site thats okay to upload.

@pierced Appreciate what you are saying but this site is a boon, not some sort of essential public service. <br> When others dodge and dive to stay alive it is up to us to use some common sense and make it work. If a link isn't working for you just use the button to let others know.

My argument is the links will work most of the time if uploaders are allowed to use the new host name or the new redirection name and the original post links are all renamed to the new host name i.e gorilla.com is renamed to gorilla.in. You have to remember, not all those who join or visit the site are tech savvy, they see a link, they click it, it doesnt work. They are not all smart enough to know by changing from "com" to "in" or "tv" to "nu" will get the link working.

We used to allow all links, and a couple of months ago introduced the allowed hosts feature. Today we've added a new domain for one of allowed hosts. <br> All you have to do is just drop a message to me and ask. And keep your message short.

About new hosts. We manually approve all new hosts now. I need video examples.

That gorilla host is unreliable as I remember and doesn't allow to get a correct title from html source. We can't detect quality from this host.

Gorillavid.in pages are relatively clean sans pop-unders. So Gorillavid is very inviting and chosen frequently... but if Gorilla can't parse titles and quality correctly thensmileypfffft. Dayum vidzi, stop being sketchy! smiley

@pierced I haven't had problems with those yet. Hopefully I won't either.
