Disappointed that Eva Longoria redid this beautifully set Spanish novela with some of the finest Spanish actors. I hope this turns out to be okay, hopefully it will be good, but it does not look that great from this preview. I say this of course because I am biased by the original Gran Hotel set at the turn of the century when electricity was a novelty and slowly being implemented into hotels and households.
I highly recommend the original Gran Hotel and hope this one lives up to the caliber of the Spanish one.
@nonamemanon Thanks for the comment, i was wondering if it was a remake like Jane and many others but couldn't bother to check.
We share the same hopes for this, at least i do for any Latino related production to become successful and appropriately represent.

Me too! I do hope for the best for all Latino-created and related productions especially since I am Mexican and I want my compas to succeed. I did not watch Jane the Virgin, but my mother really enjoyed it. I am not sure if she saw the original one. I always hope for the success of Latinos when we are painted in a positive light. I could not watch the shows my favourite Mexican actress, Kate del Castillo, made over the last few years regarding the drug cartels. That is not appealing to me at all. I loved her in two Mexican telenovelas, La Mentira and Ramona, as well as the production with the legendary Edward James Olmos in American Family. I also adore her dad who is such a sweet man (family acquaintance).
Glad to know there are others out there who appreciate and hope for successful Latino shows.

Now that Jane the virgin will be ending, which I dont get why?... I was losing all hope of ever seeing such scandalous hotel affairs.. but after seeing the trailer of the grand hotel, Im gonna be a fan- setting my recorder for the air date.. hpe thats soon

I don't know, cancelling Jane the Virgin then getting this on air...and for the trailer it looks like a copy of the first season🤦.. then again most soap operas look alike.
