Double letter game ~ Part Two (5913 views, 1314 replies)
Zebrasses ~ I wonder if they did this on their own or if darn people had a hand in it.
@delamitri For God's sake D. How many times have I told you not to use words with double "O" in them because we might have problems ... how was that? Close? More shouting ie capitals?
@---BOX--- Oh, so close until you second guessed yourself. No back pedaling in these here parts.
@delamitri Ye got a lot of wood around your area D. (Morningwood, Peckerwood) - many more?
@delamitri Is deadwood better than no wood? At least there is a chance with the former of a bit of fire with a bit of blowing of course.
@delamitri Nice one - and I'll try but you see the washing machine has a life of its own and this mor...
@delamitri Only in the sense that I admire how they can stand to live in the same country with 60 million other French and not commit suicide.
@---BOX--- Add a couple of letters and it's a whole other thing. I only just learned naff.
@delamitri Lol.. well.... "Leets" is actual a new one for this lady! I was thinking of Leet "also known as eleet or leetspeak, is a system of modified spellings used primarily on the Internet. It often uses character replacements in ways that play on the similarity of their glyphs via reflection or other resemblance."
@---BOX--- Of course I am because I was the first one to use this word in this game.
Then a person who claims they never read anything I write used it... (before you)...
haha
@---BOX--- Fair play to ya. I was just being silly anyhow and puffing me self up whilst also unloading some of the fertiliser that was force fed to me over the months by a certain name changing, personality hyjacking, prolific story-teller... Lol... I feel better. Thank you for indulging me! :)
@---BOX--- I can't stop seeing Antman. I must have gotten greedy.
And I believe you got greedy too! 😉
@---BOX--- That's a very polite way of saying that I harvest fungus. Thank you, Monsieur Box.
@delamitri I don't think I understood "The role of the fungi, that's my job." What is that all about?
@delamitri Go on then - I have had my lunch so if it is very bad at least I have something to spew. Don't spare any details or feelings or expense.
@---BOX--- Well, I have to harvest goodies for the 5 story word game somewhere, right?
Cutaneous candidiasis
Oral candidiasis
Candidal vulvovaginitis
And now you know my dirty little secrets. 🤗
@delamitri An expert rather than a farmer then - You could add "yeast" to your topics of interest/studies.
@---BOX--- Your mind is too clean. Personal farming, see. And yeast is one of my specialties. 🤣
@delamitri I'm preparing for Christmas and trying to be on the NICE side of the list ... there is no hope for you I'm afraid.
@delamitri You should have put Batty below - to have a pet bat is in the realms of split personality super heroes and their friends. They have no loyalty and they'll get caught in your hair and bye bye pinky.
@---BOX--- What if I found it abandoned when it was first born and I raised it and it thought I was mommy?
@delamitri No worries, I have just got you tickets online to go to ....
visit some wonderful caves from Africa to the Solomon Islands because apparently they live there forming very large colonies and feeds mainly on nectar and pollen. And apparently if you try to take their young the whole family comes to assist in attacking the foreigner (usually pink haired American grunge rockers who think the beasts are cute and want to take them back home). They also have very particular tastes in fruit so be prepared to set up Fruits from Africa imports.
and after all that he'll never call you mommy! ungrateful rodent!
@---BOX--- Hahaha, dammit. I had this all figured out and now my dreams are dashed. I would have been Batmom.
@delamitri So sad ...
Batmom has a certain ring to it- Batmom and Raven could work. A feminist version of the the world's friendiest super heroines Furry outfits and gurlie gadgets. Burton directs. A piece of bat pie. Addicts to Africian fruit and crocodile handbags.
@delamitri You'll always be Batmom to me!
I love bat's. They're so cute and so misunderstood!
They're so tiny!
@delamitri I had to look that one up - missed a lot of Family Guy and it doesn't translate well.
@---BOX--- I'm sure RB got this one, but I had to look it up. Does Google have the correct pronunciation? Uhluhgoan
@delamitri The word in Irish is "olagón" with the accent on the last syllable (a long O). I am sure Google has a good English pronunciation of the word. I found this site for the Irish pron. but I it doesn't work on my laptop.

@delamitri The End
This sense of fear that grows as twilight fades
And reapers of souls descend on the Earth,
To feed on destruction in chaos’ birth,
Dear angels of truth tremble in the shades.
The eyes of Man see nothing but old mud,
Where the beauty of nature once stood proud,
There is no movement, not even a cloud,
Divine Mother sucked dry of sacred blood.
The warning signs lie silent and ignored,
With pathways to life eternally closed,
If only they listened or just supposed
For a moment so time could be restored.
As Earth enters apocalyptic age,
All life must pay this, the final wage.

@---BOX--- Achoo for sure, although if you're sniffing snuff, (blech) I guess rose scented would be the way to go.
Sorry but I do not acknowledge Comment is hidden. Why? format on forum threads.
Maccaboy
@delamitri Have you been taking photos of your neighbourhood again D? Well it took you less than 7 hours - you know Kodak stopped developing and they have the new fangled mobile phones that take real good ones and you can upload straight away
@delamitri Those boys from the Deliverance film. Just send me a vide of the musician - should be enough from what I remember.
@---BOX--- Omg, I remember that boy. Everything was fine until he took offense for no reason. Yeah, I bet I have a cousin like that back in them thar hills.
@delamitri Wasn't that an ABBA song?
"Try once more like you did before
Sing a new song, Rickettsia"
@delamitri No I am sure it was that one all right. Have a listen on youtube - you know you are tempted.
@---BOX--- Trying to figure out why they're singing about a disease. 😳 Ick and I'll pass on ABBA, haha. Rather eat dirt. Didn't they do something called dancing queen? 👂🤛
@delamitri
Classic ABBA - I heard U2 do an acoustic version of this in a concert. You have gotta like it ...
"You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, diggin' the dancing queen"
Committment - a film you must see The Committments (Ireland, music, humour) - say no more - dosmovies.com/watch_movie/Commitments_Th....
@---BOX--- Friendly player's tip for all : It's usually better to avoid using the same letter to start and double in your word as it helps the game progress.
@---BOX--- What have we here, Monsieur Box? Quickly, take cover before the fun police arrive. Neither mistakes nor divergences will be tolerated. I'm afraid you are a fugitive now. A Box on the run.
@delamitri Officer D.
It was a clear case of discombobulation and sudden loss of cabin pressure which caused the Slightly Harder Double Letter game to come together and create the Double Extra Hard Wood version.
Call off your fun police mutts or the birdy get it between the place she has ears (still trying to figure that one out).
Don't try any funny stuff either. WE'LL (Livingina, PO & Black) be watching you.
@---BOX--- I'm letting you off with a warning because you distracted me with this talk of Hard Wood. Also, the threat to birdy has me shaking in my trooper boots!
@delamitri We'll drop the bird off at the La Cage aux Folles. No tar and feathering this time.
You keep shaking and quaking in those cowgirl boots officer D.
Couldn't find those ears either
@delamitri Again?
You doing something on the side connected to this word. I swear I've seen it X times now and there is only one person that uses it.
Hmmm ... wonder who that could be?
@---BOX--- Yeah well one time it was a native American child and another time it was a child carrier and still another time it was a temporary medical stabilization board used to limit a patient’s freedom of movement. 😋
@delamitri Ok course it was - sillyme. Thanks D. I have to dig deeper. In every way, physically and spiritually.
And of course the mindreading does come in handy in a transatlantic game like this.
@delamitri When you need a dictionary for the definition (pemmican???), you know you are getting out of your depth and playing with some smart cookies!
@---BOX--- Pemmican, a common ingredient. That's Mzzz Einstein confection to you, dahlink.
@delamitri Common among the Canadian indians but very uncommon along the northern coastline of the Iberian Peninsula.
Can we use the leftovers from hide the chorizo?
@---BOX--- Ancestry says I'm 4% Iberian Peninsula.
I'll chop and scramble that chorizo.
@delamitri Let's be very clear - that 4% wouldn't have anything to do with nails or teeth?
@---BOX--- Seriously, no idea. Never even heard of it until ancestry a year ago, so prob not teeth and nails.
@---BOX--- My best friend in high school, Sarai Naranjo, used to scramble chorizo and eggs before school. We ate it using tortilla strips instead of forks. 😋
@delamitri Delicious - chorizo and eggs are what the cooks eat here when they are not cooking. And maybe a french fry or two. HMMMM
@delamitri close: without one but with the other
from French, literally: without knee breeches, because the revolutionaries wore pantaloons or trousers rather than knee breeches
@---BOX--- Well for me it would be sans nappies because I can't be bothered with pants on account of all the times I'd be in and out of them.
@delamitri That's cos we love their little furry faces souchnwe don't really believe they're "bad". :)
Redeem ~ Running out of f words off the top of my head. Another letter I may have to cheat with or risk repeating.
That just stopped me in my tracks. Would not expect that from a mature lady. Ehemmm.
Omitting
@---BOX--- Yay!!! You were gone far too long. I was about to lose all control and start causing a load of trouble.
@FemaleLotRfan83 You were meant to start with D for the word, so I was trying to figure out which game I was in and I almost wrote "Americano". haha
@FemaleLotRfan83 I thought it was funny that I didn't know which game I was on. That's why I wrote that.
I already carried on from your answer. :)
@ I made the mistake of posting an answer that was part of another game yesterday.
Luckily I was able to edit it.
@delamitri Also known as ... [SPOILER] ..
Where are these women when you need a top up?
@delamitri Well let's not go there. We have plenty to keep us busy here! Cerebral wise of course.
Sagging - 🎵 gravity always wins 🎵 according to Radiohead. No use fighting it. Well, if you have the money you could delay it for a bit, so that should be considered also.
Linebreeding ~ like how Quasigoat came about. Unfortunately, my experiment with linebreeding was a complete disaster.
@---BOX--- Blech blech blech and sadly, TRUE! So much for me swallowing for the rest of the day. My throat is clamped shut.
@delamitri What a great sounding word.
Another (in sound and meaning) for me would be "Serendipity". Something that seems to happen regularly (well every couple of weeks).
@delamitri Before my time Mz. D. But it is such a versatile word that it may be popping (not pooping) up in other games.
@---BOX--- Hahahaha, I thought you were skeptical about everything you say with that look over your glasses.
@delamitri Not at all - I couldn't afford the fancy bifocal blended super cool ones so I have to work for the close ups.
@delamitri As in horse whispering? with Robert Redford. So what could you say to a horse
"HAY boy, how are the SHOES working out? We got the best Gucci blacksmith for you."
@---BOX--- Simply a murmur. Wouldn't work on a horse too well. A horse needs a Giddyup! And it ain't no whisper. 😄

Let’s stimulate our brains with a new word game and see how far we can go with it, okay?
Name a Word that has Double Letters in it–
AND that Starts with the Letter that is the
SAME as the Double Letters in the Word before
while trying NOT to use the SAME Starting Letter
and Double Letters in your Word.
(As always, No Proper Nouns, Brand Names, Peoples Names,
hyphenations, abbreviations nor acronyms are allowed.)
Examples:
REALLY
LOOPY
OSCILLATE
LITTLE …. etc.
