There was a movie I always used to watch on Netflix. It was about a news reporter/journalist/author who moves in this house/barn with this family begins looking after the man and woman's son who is unstable: autistic. If I can remember she has a boyfriend that she keeps ringing while she is there. She is friendly with the son and he ends up kidnapping her and locks her in the basement . He falls in love with her and at the end jumps off the decking and falls through he dies the reporter survives. It was between the years 2000-2012 if I remember rightly. Really want to watch it again. Not sure of the name of it. I hope one of you know.
