Ok I just tried youtube and found it instantly, this was NOT it :(

I know it is old, but hopefully someone can dig it up. I saw this when I was a young kid and loved it. Forgot the name of it and have been searching for it for 20+ years. Just accidentally came across it and read the plot and I am 99% sure this is it..
