Anyone having trouble with Streamtape? (872 views, 17 replies)

No trouble here. Streamtape gives me no security alerts but i do get them with at least one other host.
Streamtape is also my go to and very reliable.
PS ive been getting them on and off for months on dood ,blocked by my web shield.

No issue here either as a matter of fact it is one of the only ones I am now able to download from.

I haven't noticed anything 'funny' going on with Streamtape for movies or series downloads (and you know the kind of security I run...).
Maybe a bogus redirect? Let me know next time you run into this and I'll try the same link on my end, just to see what happens. Or, run 'HTTP Header Live' on your end, save the output to check for redirects or other funny-business when you click a problematic link (you have to have HHL running and cleared before you click the link).

The Streamtape button on here brings up 2 betting pages plus others blocked by my security.
@Buttless OK, I got right through with no interruptions...But, I ran HHL when I did it and there are some questionable things that my security caught behind the scenes:

Some of that, like yandex, is like Google Analytics but the other stuff could be anything, my system just doesn't let it through.
I'll zip the whole readout and post it, but it looks like your system may be letting stuff through you don't want.

I have also had the issue with some of the first streamtape links from TV Show "Medium" and the first streamtape link I click would sometimes say it was blocked even after closing the link and trying it a second and third time I get the same issue. So then I would try the second or third link and have no issue except for the ads. Other then that they seem to work okay for me its just random links. Some work fine and others not so much. But I still managed to watch the show. Maybe its from the link its self or the streamtape being the issue I'm not sure but I just keep trying links until it works. Normally on "Medium" there are only (3) links from streamtape so I just hoped for the best. Good luck to you.
@CosmoQueen88 You shouldn't get ANY pop up adds at all. Use uBlock Origin as a popup blocker.
Simply google ublock origin for the browser(chrome/firefox) you are using.

streamtape works well for me. Mixdrop gives me the kind of issues you are referring to

Streamtape has a couple of issues that your Internet security features might be blocking.
1. Their website keeps changing their web address. So if anyone is using a script blocker, they will have to keep allowing/giving temporary permission to that new web address every time you start a new browsing session.
2. To circumvent adware blockers they have anywhere from 1-4 ads that attempt to open up a completely new web address/browser window every time I click on anything, anywhere, on the TV or movie page that I want to watch or download. My guess is to sneak around pop-up blockers. So they have to all be closed to get back to the original page. Being careful which one you are closing and not the original page by mistake.
So I suspect these above issues are causing your problems. I suggest you try looking at the settings of your browser's script, pop-up, or ad blocker security features.

With streamtape, I have to hit the download button three or four times, but it then works as expected. I've no issues with any link. Good thing as I'm no tech wizard, yet I've been doing this a while. When Download with Voe. I have to change the file name to what it is from some obscure file number. I mostly used mixdrop, that is if the file is good enough rez. If not, that's when I seek the others.

I never have a problem with steamtape in general. Just rarely get the download option with it. Is that usual problem with anyone?
@Robear2000 yeah mate I get the same at times but I think it is up to the uploader to have that button active but if you just click the link a second time the file screen will open so I just click the play button and download using video download helper

Streamtape used to be good, but in the last couple of weeks some results are blocked by my security system and others bring up adware sites.
Is it time to stop using it?
