I never keep my New Years Resolutions, but this year, I am! I need to learn to say NO, without having to explain myself. This is a BIG deal for me.. I get myself into obligations, that I really didn't want to do, like volunteering for things when I am already so busy, I know I cannot commit to it, 100%, than kick myself, for not saying No in the 1st place, lol. Well this year it is going to be different, I put too much pressure on myself, so I am going to be "good" to myself for a change...... what are some of you all's Resolutions???

My New Year resolution in 1995 was to never make another resolution. It's working out great.

Happy 129th Birthday, Rescue Dog Mama 🎂

I don't have to make it a resolution, the pain i get in my feet is already motivating me from over eating,i gotta lose weight!over-weight pains my feet twice as much.---yeah, pain is a great motivator!--if it hurts, you stop doing it sso much! smiley

HMMM. smiley .are you using a "paid VPN"?I know where there's a whole page of FREE ONES.HOW do the pay ones rate?hypothetically, how would it effect movie-finding,linking ,and avoiding huge search engines gunning for movie pirates and pirate sites?I heard about one, that was only accessible to a "very closed and private-member-entrance"that was given to already known people---Reditt was dumping sources of free movies with active copyrights.--Reditt dumped a bunch of assoc. sites. smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley

Rescue Dog Mama: I'm with you on that. I need to be stronger in my "nos" (and my "yeses").

Reminds me of what Elliott Hulse says in the vid. I saw it a couple years ago and it pops in my head all the time, (and it's something I still need to work on :( )... I know you're not talking about bullying but I think the video relates to what you're saying.

I don't really make resolutions, (or keep them I should say lol), but this year I want to stop spending so much time at home.

My resolution for 2019 is to wage war on those who use the FORUM as their personal printing press and in doing so, exclude members from threads and contributions by using a blocking system that was not intended for such purposes.

The Forum is an open border environment to all members and not a place for censorship but a special place for opinions, debate, education and blowing off steam as well as having a grin, a giggle and a guffaw. And maybe even a little "sex talk" for those who are interested.

I feel that "Comment is Hidden. Why?" contributions are divisive, unhelpful and cowardly (a bit like a wall a certain President is touting). In the Forun there is no place for such infantile behaviour. It is actually being used by the very people who have been shouting "wolf" for the past six months to attack and insult other members that they have blocked.

And it makes the games part of the forum ridiculous, excluding members from instructions and therefore making them look foolish when they can't follow the thread and may make mistakes that are not/cannot be corrected because of the "wall" created.

@---BOX--- I agree with you on the blocking, and to be perfectly honest, I do not get it anyhow. Why should you be able to block people on something meant for all members. If someone feels they have to "block" people, than they shouldn't be posting period. IMHO

@---BOX--- Agreed. What I agree most on is the reason I HAVE HAD TO BLOCK which I never have done before...

I kept myself unblocked, but was constantly harassed by false personas and a certain member who had the creepiness to find out my real name and post it everywhere for about a week (I've screen prints of it).

That's SICK. I have never had a relationship with this person, so they had to actually troll around to find out what my real name is. CREEPY.

Weirdos that constantly change their name and profile to lure members that they hurt in any way are a no fly zone for me.

So I have one member blocked.

Stalking warrants that, I feel.

@ That is what blocking should be used for, and only that. I can’t Report people’s racist or porn comments (or downvote comments for some reason and no one cares, even though I’ve asked to have it fixed, but that’s ok, lol), but I now see that a couple of people have blocked ME. Another member told me how to look to see who it is, and so I did. I don’t even know them! Other than maybe responding on the same PAGE as them, I have never exchanged words with them. It’s like creepy reverse-stalking, lol. It’s super creepy to think they went to all that trouble and I have no clue who they are, but they were clearly watching me and getting pissed, lol. Wtf? But blocking is absolutely necessary for creepy activity like you are talking about.

@---BOX--- uh---the block is only workin for the single person who doesn't want, usually,to see troll remarks, you kknow XTREME TROLL ANGER OR INSULTS! AND we are not throwing said Troll off the site or erasing his comments off.He is still here, voicing his remarks. This site is very tolerant of Troll rants or remarks--no one gets thrown off.

Not all cultures are so tolerant.Japanese sites are strictly moderated, and often even commenting back to their moderator can get you BANNED.THEY won't put up with any "off behavior or remarks" at all!ANYTHING out of line gets banned often by Asian sites.--I believe Chinese sites may be also strict. You should try other cultures' sites, they can be an experience in life.:).I suggest a Muslim site translated by Google translate,to open yer eyes.--cest la vie!

@---BOX--- So funny. I have one of those right on this page. It’s ok. It’s probably just a creepy, misogynistic, unfulfilled, redneck slob who clearly watched what I wrote for quite some time and obsessed over it so much that he had to block me, because whatever I wrote was challenging his limited comprehension of the English language and his shrink (aka bar tender) said to remove all triggers from his life. The fact that someone watches you, even though you have never engaged them in a conversation before, and then gets so pissed that they block YOU is very funny. And very creepy. Or maybe it’s a woman who doesn’t like it that I am a Christian but still like to use the odd expletive every now and then and I don’t believe I was born just to make babies, do laundry, and live with a pole up my ass. But I’m pretty sure it’s a dude. Or sort of a dude. 😂😂

@---BOX--- This is the best damn resolution I have heard ever! Thank you for taking a stand against trolls who are trying to divide and conquer this site. They are nothing more than a schoolyard bully who didn't get enough attention as a child

I do make resolutions, and am proud of it because I keep my resolutions because they are realistic and work for me.

Beginnings are that way, and they can be ANYTIME during the year.

I just don't share what they are.

That's what works for me.

Happy, healthy New Year to one and all. 🍾🍾🍾

my biggest resolution is,"'Put up with miserable life, it hopefully will soon be over, and I'm NOT DOING IT AGAIN!"No entity can force you to repeat human life if you refuse to.

Some Orthodox Jews beieve that some humans DON'T BELONG HERE.--very intelligent are "messengers'" that are sent from advanced dimensions above, to come here, live a life.and on death return to more advanced dimensions to report what the lowest dimension, this one,"the Brutal world, the lowest, worst world,is like. They need a "messenger".

strangely, does Christianity have "messengers"in the Bible? That would make sense, but beings from more advanced worlds, would find human life here,Hell. It is Hell, for most of the world's population.--less than it used to be,but humans haven't changed basically.

The other resolution(which is very hard to do)is for me to stop posting extreme comments, not force people into my view--i used to be very tolerant, but it can vanish when dealing with reality.--older adults can get very cynical,(me)because all the experiences of horrible "the thousand natural shocks that flesh is heir to"in life, and you lose lofty ideals or opinions.- smiley

-REALITY is the worst experience of older people. smiley --I'm just going to molder, degenerate, dissolve, get sick, and lose my functions until i'm a pile of old bones.--ALL your friends often die.I apologize, I got very depressed in a "senior depression"which can often strike someone entering the Hall of Darkness. smiley The worst is,you lose everyone and everything,(as an old man in a Luis Bunuel(spelling) movie(in Spanish)once said.)He was right--its often very hard to adjust to losing control so much,& losing the world.

Americans don't tolerate people in pain,depression,ect. ...

I don’t make them. I find that most people end up giving up completely because they attach their resolve to January 1st, and if they fail, even if it’s still January, they rarely say “Well, I’ll start again tomorrow.” They wait until next year! I prefer to say at any point in the year that I’m going to start or stop doing something, and then if I fail, I say “Well, start again tomorrow.” Or “Start again on Monday.” I’m like a dog with a bone when I decide to quit or start something, though. I have a VERY addictive personality, and it seems like I become addicted to not being addicted, and nothing will stop me once I decide it. But getting to the deciding to stop -or start- something is the journey for me. So, I don’t attach my resolve to January 1st, ever. That’s just what works for me. After a bunch or awful crap started in my life, I drank daily for about three years from age 41-44, and I quit the same way Alice Cooper did, who also has a very addictive personality. ...

Yes. My husband and I both always look forward to the New Year with having goals, plans, resolutions to inspire life as it gives purpose, meaning and hope. We don't do the it the "traditional way" as that's a setup for failure and disappointment. It would be so very uninspiring to not have any set goals/aspirations/plans/resolutions that would help to improve self and therefore all life connected to. Always deciding on reasonable ones do help and if for whatever reason at the end of the year, some we did not achieve will either be forgotten or continued to the following year... month, week or day.

None of my goals/plans/aspirations/resolutions include this site so I am not sure I can add much to this here as I see most replies regard two-movies and I can't relate. I also prefer to not share mine on a public forum either way especially when there are so many hate filled trolls that just feed off these types of posts. The only one I will share is that I aim to be a better version of my self for myself and all those around me. :)
