Is it possible to have the option to "Enable" or "Disable" the "Add as Freind" feature on profiles? I receive a lot of Friend Requests from members I do not know or ever interacted with and even after I "Decline/delete" their request to add me, they send another. Then there are these profiles of males who are looking for "pu**y" and watch "porn" lol to each their own but I am not interested in that. Also, when I clear the "unapproved" friends list, it somehow alerts the person that I have removed them, yet I have never had them added as a Friend in the first place. There are many reasons why having the option to DISABLE this feature would be beneficial. I personally don't like to make others feel bad when I decline a friend request but even after having typed it out in my profile "Please Do Not Add Me" they still do. I am not anti-social at all , just don't add every and anyone on here unless we have interacted first. ...

@3UN01A Just ignore the friends requests. They can't send you another until you respond to the first.

@DemandingFemale I like to delete them but would love the option to disable/enable "add as friend" :)

@3UN01A Totally agree, it actually says on my profile that I don't add people I've not conversed with, and asks that anyone who has a reason for wanting to add me (I was thinking perhaps if someone liked my playlists) inboxes to say why. Still get requests from dodgy looking profiles though. I wonder how they manage... since they clearly can't read.

@⭐️janerosity⭐️ Exactly. I also used to have it on my profile but it seemed to attract even more weird requests. But you're right, why can;t they read it and respect it. If it's from someone you have never even seen on here nor interacted with, why do they insist on being friends. Then when I have just cleared out all "unapproved" friend requests, people will message me back "why did you remove me" when I never had them added in the first place. That makes me feel bad lol then when I do accept a friend request, they don't ever say anything. So what is the point of that? I would just love to have the option to disable and enable whenever I want. I do like to add and make friends with people I have got to know through comments, forum etc. I am all about socializing. I just think it should be an option in settings like all the other options we have with privacy. ...

@3UN01A I have one person who has tried to add me three times now. Each time they have changed the name on their profile, but it seems requests show the first name you use on here. So I know it's them, and they have changed from what appeared to be a man - to now looking like a woman. But still, not so much as a "hi" in my inbox. Wtf is that about? Only two reason I can think of - either a scammer or a perv. Nowhere is safe....

@⭐️janerosity⭐️ LOL we seem to have the same issues ;) I had someone exactly like that - kept changing their name and gender but it shows in the URL where our first name we choose stays. So I just blocked them after numerous requests and declines. My Inbox and wall is almost always public so I don't see why they just don't message first. The ones I have added just never interact after making so much fuss about being added. lol just weird. This option NEEDS to be added.

@⭐️janerosity⭐️ That's strange. You should report user on their profile if you feel it's spam or perving. :)

@ Now that we can, if it happens again I will block them. It's more that I don't get why they keep asking, it's not like FB, where being a friend can mean you have access to info that a scammer might find useful. I was thinking about this after posting above, and I wonder if these people just try to add those of us who make the 'top 50' (as I've noticed it tends to be a lot of the same names on the list each month) because they think - for some bizarre reason -that this might get them some kind of kudos on the site. Who knows, I'm not losing sleep over it.

@⭐️janerosity⭐️ Nah, not worth even mentioning it or making an issue out of it (not you). It's just a request. Easy to ignore or delete without creating a drama. :)

That's unfortunate FRAC but so is miscommunication and all the stuff that stemmed from it. ;)

Doesn't privacy option do something along those lines?

@anthonystar19 No, you can change the receive PM's to no one, but there is no option for not receiving friend requests. I don't know why they just don't ignore them. It's not a big deal. I get them all the time. We all do.

@anthonystar19 No. There is no option in privacy settings to Disable or Enable "Add as Friend" but hopefully in the future we will have that choice like Facebook and all other social sites do.

@PureVodka🍺 Totally true for me as well. I love making new friends and a friendly note that accompanies the request is very nice and beneficial. If things change you can un-friend them. No harm, no foul.
