Spanish Photographer-Painter.........................◆ Eugenio Recuenco
Recuenco was born in Madrid Spain........*During the first steps of his career, being attracted as well by photography, he specializes in large format paintings in which he included pictures of his own. Then he begins collaboration with the main Spanish and International fashion magazines Vogue Spain, Madame Figaro, Wad, Vogue, Spoon, Planet, Vanity Fair, Stern, Kult, Twill, GQ, Marie Claire,Vogue UK, Zink, Nina Ricci, Diesel and Yves Saint Laurent. He decides to move to Paris so that he could submerge in the painting trends being developed there.

@ᗩᖇᗰᕮᕮK Hope so, feels like we're already on the rollercoaster hurtling towards Christmas. End of year Concert rehearsals have started in earnest, four day a week swimming training, end of year Club camp, two club competitions, preparing school Presentation Day displays and our first ''double-digit'' birthday just a week before Christmas. ... Probably should be doing something eight now. Love the link. -GC

In the center, in the dark, do you see a night sky filled with stars? Do you see a sunset to the left? Clouds all around? Do you see the central band of our Milky Way Galaxy running down the middle? Do you see the ruins of an abandoned outpost on a hill? (The outpost is on Askold Island, Russia.) Do you see a photographer with a headlamp contemplating surreal surroundings? (The image is a panorama of 38 images taken last month and compiled into a Little Planet projection.) Do you see a rugged path lined with steps? Or do you see the eye of a dragon?

*Life is a continuous learning experience. Throughout our lives we keep rising and falling, picking up important lessons along the way. Some of these lessons come from experience, yet there are others that we learn watching others or reading in books for example. No matter how much we learn from the books there is a significant difference between practical and theoretical experience. Furthermore, there are many life lessons that we simply cannot learn until we face certain situations in our life. Most people would say that there are some lessons that come too late, catching us off-guard.

Your life is now.
We keeping waiting for that amazing thing to happen in the future that will be the key to our happiness. But this is it. Your life is right now. Life continues to be a series of right nows. So learn to love your life right now, and you'll have an amazing life.

@Bread&Circuses Had its good and bad points for me though. I'm a big fan of the grimdark and coming right after watching Penny Dreadful, was really looking forward to it. Script sounded as if it had been written by first year left wing, feminist drama students. Introducing the characters starting from the beginning of the story might have improved the narrative and fleshed out the grab bag of assorted characters a bit. Not that I liked either of the lead characters much, too dreary and leaden. Couldn't identify with any of them really, except maybe the witch and the scholar. Then there's the heavy handed correlation with today's globalists' agenda v Nationalism. Haven't a clue what or who the monster was supposed to represent though. Was enjoying the crime mystery at least, had dismissed my suspicion of the mother very early on because it seemed too obvious for all the effort, so that turned into a disappointment too. ...

Jaclyn Moriarty is a award winning Australian and the best-selling author of novels for young adults including Feeling Sorry for Celia, The Year of Secret Assignments, and the Colors of Madeleine trilogy. Jaclyn grew up in Sydney, lived in England, Canada and the US, and now lives in Sydney again. She studied English at the University of Sydney, and law at Yale University and Cambridge University, where she was awarded a PhD....* I would like to recommend the adult debut novel from Jaclyn...*Gravity Is The Thing.

If you love the feel of the paper between your fingers as you read a great book, this is a true page turner, I always travel with a novel mostly for the plane going and returning home, this book did not make it to the trip home, had to finish it.

@ᗩᖇᗰᕮᕮK Thanks for the recommendation. currently reading I Know This Much Is True by Wally Lamb and it is unremittingly sad so far. This might be an antidote. Though I have to say, I'm not very fond of modern Australian authors. They all preach exactly the same cant about righting past wrongs and their duty to teach us how to be better people. -GC
