My Good Time Stories...................*Dr. Geezer

* An elderly physician, Doctor Geezer, became very bored in retirement and decided to re-open a medical clinic. He put a sign up outside that said Dr. Geezer’s clinic Get your treatment for $500 if not cured, get back $1,000.

Doctor Young, who was positive that this old geezer didn’t know beans about medicine, thought this would be a great opportunity to get $1,000.So he went to Dr. Geezer’s clinic.
Dr.Young says Dr. Geezer, I have lost all taste in my mouth. Can you please help me?
Dr. Geezer: Nurse, please bring medicine from box 22 and put 3 drops in Dr. Young’s mouth. Dr. Young: ‘Aaagh! — This is Gasoline!
Dr. Geezer: Congratulations! You’ve got your taste back. That will be $500.
Dr.Young, very annoyed, goes back after a couple of days figuring to recover his money.
Dr. Young: I have lost my memory, I cannot remember anything.
...

*Moral of the story Just because you’re *Young doesn’t mean that you can outsmart an old Geezer. Remember: Don’t make old people mad. They don’t like being old in the first place, so it doesn’t take much to tick them off.

*Have a great week........Be nice to all the old geezers..........Stay safe.

🔸 This Day In History........August 15th 1969
*On August 15, 1969, the Woodstock music festival opens on a patch of farmland in White Lake, a hamlet in the upstate New York town of Bethel. Promoters John Roberts, Joel Rosenman, Artie Kornfield and Michael Lang originally envisioned the festival as a way to raise funds to build a recording studio and rock-and-roll retreat near the town of Woodstock, New York. The longtime artists’ colony was already a home base for Bob Dylan and other musicians. Despite their relative inexperience, the young promoters managed to sign a roster of top acts, including the Jefferson Airplane, the Who, the Grateful Dead, Sly and the Family Stone, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Creedence Clearwater Revival and many more.

.....American Artist - Painter.......*Heather Theurer
Some stories begin on well-defined roads or with billboard accomplishments. But the story of an artist usually begins somewhere less noticeable, perhaps even unrecognizable to most. It is just such a beginning that gave life to the art of creator, Heather Theurer.

Although she was not able to obtain a formal education in art, all her studies of the natural world in addition to the works of great artists including the renaissance masters, the pre-raphaelites of the late 19th century and modern masters have influenced her work in a way she couldn’t imagine getting in a classroom.

@ᗩᖇᗰᕮᕮK Still ''sheltering at home for the next couple of weeks'' as advised while Authorities have relaxed the rules by reopening schools, workers are glad to be going back and the hospitals are open. Everything crossed we have seen the worst. Autumn was late and the roses have been very confused but the nights are getting cooler. Put a blanket on the bed today. Swimming pools are still closed probably be a couple of weeks yet, nothing more miserable than winter training.

How's it been for you? Keeping busy? Our biggest achievement was getting the rabbit neutered. It's been weeks and he still hasn't forgiven us. He has stopped bothering his ball though, which is a relief.

Look after yourself and stay well. -GC

Last Night in Montreal is a story of love, amnesia, compulsive travel, the depths and the limits of family bonds, and the nature of obsession. In this extraordinary debut, Emily St. John Mandel casts a powerful spell that captures the reader in a gritty, youthful world charged with an atmosphere of mystery, promise and foreboding where small revelations continuously change our understanding of the truth and lead to desperate consequences. Mandel's characters will resonate with you long after the final page is turned.

@..box.. So far, sheltering in place with a bored child and ten thousand pieces of Lego makes me think of what it must have felt like being stuck inside an Anderson Shelter during the Blitz and realizing people have been through much worse. That is, until I forget to put something on my feet on the way to the bathroom in the dark. -Keep safe. -GC

@ᗩᖇᗰᕮᕮK Thanks,I think my daughters liked him. I'm in the 'at greatest risk'' category I have to admit I more likely to be listening to Rodriguez, Bowie and playing British rock on 28 track at the time. -I'm doing my best to stay well and very grateful to have a nice big yard with lawn and trees. The weather is beautiful. Can't imagine what it must be like to be stuck in an apartment for the duration. You keep well too. -GC
